K boys and girls! Who's up for Biketoberfest this year?
Am heading over on Friday for the day.....may head back over on Sunday as well.
My g'friend is flying in from Memphis to attend as well. She will have her choice of her Vstar 1100 or the 3rd Gen Magna to ride.

Apparently not a lot of folks going over Pappy.  Have been a number of times, probably not this one.  Hope y'all have fun.  Back when Honda Directline would have a big display at the Sunshine Mall we would all meet there and then go to lunch next door.  That was when there were still parts to be bought from dealers and aftermarket folks for the Valkyrie.

I'm going to try to sneak out of work Thursday to go see the "ride in only" chopper show at Willie's Tropical Tattoo.
Other than that Kim & I will probably head over early Saturday morn. We usually hit Rossmeyers first before it gets too overrun with pirates.  Roll Eyes Don't make too many plans after that, kinda leave the day open.
Lunch somewhere Saturday maybe???

Has to be Friday for us.
We will be doing a long distance cruise with the antique outboard bunch on Saturday. Making a breeze on the water, woohoo!

If I can get work on Friday off, I will go.  I'd love to do lunch somewhere.  The last one I was at was at the Sunshine Mall on Rt. 1 in South Daytona, I think.  Was it called Duffs?  Also, the motorcycle group that I belong to (Hunters Creek Motorcycle Association - HCMA) will be meeting for breakfast in the Hunters Creek Publix shopping center (in Southwest Orlando) on Saturday morning and then heading to Daytona.  I plan on going on that ride, too.  So, I could be available for lunch that day as well.  Just let me know when and where.  It would be great to see old friends and new faces.

I have a black 2000 std, 51,000 + miles with old Honda Goldwing saddlebags, Cobra 6 into 6 pipes, some extra chrome.

Is there anybody from the panhandle who is thinking of driving over for the day?  I was planning on going to Ormond Beach on Friday to check out the ultimate seat store, but didn’t realize that Biketoberfest was going on.

I’m just wondering if I can make the drive back-and-forth from Tallahassee since room rates have spiked.

Undecided Thinking about riding over early and grabbing lunch Friday, some quick site seeing and ride on back. Up the back way (301 - 471- etc.) it's about a three and a half hour ride each way from Tampa. Any Tampa area folks want to meet up early let me know before 9:00 tonight via PM(Thursday).
I haven't been over to Biketober fest in a number of years; the traffic sucks is always quite interesting.
Any new lunch stop recommendations over there? Bert?, Eddie? Pappy?

My phone number is 252/360-8878 to meet up someplace if you cannot make that spot. Will be able to answer the phone through my helmet so let me know..............

Well? Did y'all ever make it? We got there at 9:05 and waited for about thirty minutes then took 11 up to Destination Daytona. Did a couple loops of the Main St. madness and had a cold drink at the restaurant at the end of Main St. on the river. Left there and went to the Speedway for a while then ambled on home around sunset. Had a good time!

Yes we made it and Sorry we Missed you. There were Five of us and we waited from 8:40 am until 9:05,loaded up and went to Destination Daytona for a couple of hours. We left around noon and went to the Sunshine Mall and ate Lunch at Duff's. While at Duff's a couple of other Valk Riders from the Kissimmee area joined us .
We went and checked out the Few Vendors that were at the Speedway and headed home. We made it in around 5pm. It was a Nice Day for a Ride, for Sure.

Due to traffic I rode by Blackwater Inn a little late but made Daytona just after 10:30. Rode in to Ormond Beach and down into Daytona. I was surprised the crowd was pretty light. Found a good parking place downtown on main street. Hung out for a few hours and picked up a few shirts. When I got home I found the shirts that I bought had been bate and switched.....that really pissed me off...typical Daytona...anyhow...
The ride was fantastic with great weather! Here's a few non descript pics of the downtown as I didn't go to the event at the track due to time needed to ride back; looked like a huge crowd there and at the hotel event as I rode by.

It was a very good day trip; it's the journey, not the destination.......
