Installed a new Avon Cobra on the front about 3 weeks ago and for the first time since I owned this bike (over nine years), neither the front or rear tire leaks air! Thats a first for me.

The old front Venom that I replaced would leak about 2-3 psi/week. The rear Venom that I had before the one thats on the bike now also would leak about that much. So did the Metzlers and the Dunlops. I started thinking it was my wheels  Sad

Anywho, my Valkyrie just became a bit more maintenence free. Now, if it would only stay clean........ Wink

I changed to steel valve stems awhile ago and noticed that my tires don't need air as often..the steel stems are double nuted for a tighter fit than the stock rubber stems ..also when changing tires I clean the the rim where the bead seals with a drill and wire wheel..rock on...

Yes it does make a difference. I should have noted that I went with the metal stems also
