Had my flu shot several months ago, apparently they do not work. I have been laid up  in bed for the last 4 days with the worst case of it I have ever had. Finally managed to get up for short periods today, but it will be a few more days before I am functioning . At my age it really takes a lot out of me. I guess it beats the alternative.  tickedoff

Enjoy the down time and get well. You probably need to take a break anyway.
Something to look forward to...

Yep, down but not enjoying it. Still have a 102 temp, managed to finally get a nap at 4am, coughing my head off all night. Oh  well hope tomorrow will be better.

I suggest u research the dangers of flu shots. correct vitamin D intake will do much much more life giving health for u than a flu shot.

Flu shots are only good if they picked the right flu that will be going around.  In the beginning of the year there are several strains of flu that will hit.  In order to produce enough vaccines they have to guess which Flu strain will be the worst and start producing the medicine early in the year.

If you have kids that go to day-care you will probably get every strain of flu that is out there.  The good news is that it makes your immune stronger.   Of course the bad news is bad.

Some people get sick from the shots because they are allergic to egg products, which is what they incubate the flu in to produce the cure.

I would suggest you get the shot if you are not allergic to egg products.  You might be the only one to survive the zombie apocalypse  crazy2 and the people at your work will appreciate it.

At least I think I am getting over it, feeling some what better today. I am ready to chuck getting the shots, last 2 years I have got the shot, came down with a mild flu within days after the shot, this year the same, but the second flu was real bad, I ran 103 temp for 4 days. Sickest I have been in a long time. My wife was ready to cart me off to the hospital.
