Our ride down is in jeopardy due to something that has come up at work. I confirmed with Peachtree today that we'd be there, but I'm not sure if we will... I'll know by the middle of the week, and I'll have had to pay for the room before I know for sure. If it turns out I can't go, I'll post up here that the room is available free of charge. First to reply will get the room, and I'll notify the Peachtree who to give the keys to. I really hope I'm gonna get to ride down, but it's not looking good.  Sad We're probably going to lose a key guy at work Monday morning, and if so, I probably won't be able to make it. I'll post giving up the room as soon as I know.

weather forcast in Fredricksburg looks do-able so far.   Not great, some rain forcast, but then again it's just now Monday.....heck.....they can't forcast more than 2 days ahead anyways.  Ck again late Thursday for an accurate forcast

In DFW, they couldn't forecast Saturday accurately on Friday or Sunday on Saturday.   I'll stick my head out the window and do as well as they do.

Really? U think 2 days?  I think you're giving them a lot of credit!!

Lately around here it's not even 2 hours!!

Worried about the weather. Still early but now calling for a lot of rain, hope that changes. Don't mind drizzle or spotty rain, but more than that ruins fun for me. I hope to leave here Thursday (Harlingen). What are you guys thinking? Firefighter

I'm thinking that I've ridden many, many, many miles in the rain, and I still don't like to.  But it's better than 100 degree heat!  I just need to remember to bring extra clothes so something will be dry.

Right now, according to "Weather.com", the weather in Fredericksburg on Saturday, it is going to be mostly sunny with a 10% chance of rain, and a low of 55° and a high of 68°. Sunday is going to be mostly sunny with a 0% chance of rain, and a low of 57° and a high of 72°. Grin

Sounds like some pretty good riding weather to me cooldude

In Fredericksburg Friday weather shows 60% rain.     Sat and Sunday show clear and cool.......perfect as I'm leaving early Saturday morning.

BTW,   Peachtree related. I have a double room, (2 beds) reserved Fri and Saturday.  Wife just bailed on accompanying me (again) so if someone wants to crash Fri and Saturday there is a spare bed in my room.  Not thrilled about Friday rain, just means to pack extra pair of dry clothes for Sat and Sunday!

That's why you should turn off your cellphone when on a trip!!!!

We'll miss you and have a drink or 6 in your honor.

Well, that really sucks.  I hope that the circumstances are not serious.  I was looking forward to meeting you.  We do this every year, though, maybe next time!

Firefighter, if you are traveling alone, I believe that Sparky51 has an extra bed available, unless he has filled it already.

You might check through each of the threads for the Hill Country ride-in.
