Billyboy and I met up and headed our way over to the Spring Lake Hess. For those not familiar with the Hess meet-up point; it's a collection of just about every type of rider one could imagine. I say rider because as we like the rolling hills of Brooksville, so do the bicyclist. The powered cycles can be from vintage, sport-bikes, scooters, tourers, the entire gamet, as well as the riders mix. Everyone seems to always mix well and the tire kicking and BS is actually fun.
Billy and I met up with Silver Fox - Paul and his Valkyrie trike. While not a big triker at this time I do like a nice machine and Paul's trike is a fine machine done right. With an eight degree front rake, flawless retro body and matching paint as well as his craftsmanship; it's one to check out in person.
Silver Fox led Billyboy and myself out through another combination of the nice Brooksville back roads and we ended up stopping for lunch up rt 41. With neither of us three ready to slow down we headed over to the gulf coast at Crystal River to scope the treasures and enjoy a few minutes of the scenery. We headed toward home via 19 to 98 to 41 and home. Not positive on the distance, maybe 175 miles or so for the day. A really nice relaxed combination of riding with no one in any hurry to do anything but enjoy the day. Thanks Paul and Billy, for the day!
