Dag, If that doesn't work out, I used Haulbikes to get my bumblebee from Chicago to Dallas last August. www.haulbikes.com

Glad it all worked out, even if that means two yellow and black Valks in Norway.

Didn't realize that happened with the tourer. Guess someone showed up with money first? Oh, well. Both of those are really nice bikes with great accessories added already. I think he'll really like it.

Hey Dag, Your friend's Bumblebee valkyrie has been delivered to the shipper in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Very nice ride to Florida. Picked up the valk on Tuesday and got all the paperwork done with DFW Honda and pulled out about 11:00 am. Got to New Orleans by dark and had a nice cajun dinner along the Mississippi River. Left out early Wednesday AM and stayed on I-10 untill pensacola, Fl then off on 98 thru panama city and south-east to hook up with I-75 at Ocala, Fl and then south to Tampa. Was going to try and make Naples, Fl but a huge thunderstorm just south of Tampa had another plan for me. Sat under an overpass for over an hour waiting out the flood, 60 mph wind and golf ball sized hail. As soon as I got back on the road with only steady blowing rain I stopped at the first sight of a motel. They sure had me pegged, "No Discount for you", the desk clerk said; "You aren't going anywhere". And he was right, just pay up and try and find something dry. Thursday was a better day, South on I-75 to Naples then across the everglades on the Tamiami trail. Only thing you really got to watch for is the road gators. NO!, I don't mean those pieces of truck recaps thrown from 18 wheelers, I mean those 4 legged, long snouted gaters. They were along the road everywhere and the road signs cationed you every few miles that there were gator crossings. Wish I had brought along a camera but didn't. Then south down US 1 across the Florida Keys. What a slow and georgeous ride. Spent the night Thursday nite at a little 50's art deco motel along the Atlantic Ocean on Key Marathon. Friday hasn't been a bad day either. Left Marathon Key early for the ride down to Key West then back to Miami via US 1/ I-95 then over to South Beach and up the coast to Ft. Lauderdale. Dag's bike checked in to the Norway shipper at 3:30. If my flight back to Dallas tomorrow goes as good as the trip down, everything will be good.
Nice little ride!! How about buying another one next week Dag? Can we ship the next one from Los Angeles? No sence in riding the same place over again.

Very cool to see just how long it takes. Thanks for the follow up, Dag. When I first saw the post back to the top, I thought I was in for a road trip. I have a few days free on my calendar if you want to do it again. ~Jeff
