Well we are home! cooldude What a great weekend! angel We started off Thursday and beat the snow out of town Shocked, from there it was win, win. We had a great ride with Joe and Chip at the Mo. Fall Color Ride, we got to see lots of friends and made some new ones. Wink Sunday we started for home and well got kinda sidetracked. ??? After a few calls Cyndi and I were able to get another day off so we did not need to be home till today! Evil We were having such a good time and we managed to hook up with Rob and Shehanna and later Dave and Pam, who all also manged to get another day, so the adventure continued. Cool We road southwest of Eldon and went to a really cool Castle ruins that sit on top of a bluff over looking one of the Ozark Lakes and resorts. Smiley It was very cool area and quite relaxing wandering around the castle enjoying the beautiful day. angel We met several folks from all over that too, were enjoying the day. While there Lori called, her and Carl were going to a motel/cabin her grandparents use to own when she was a kid, and stated they had lost the alternator in the Valkyrie. tickedoff Really, well guess who forgot his extra alternator at home. Yep, me! Embarrassed Been carrying that thing to every ride for two years and I forget it this trip. Angry They were working on getting another battery and changed their minds about the side trip and went home as I understand it. Cry Glad they made it home okay. cooldude Note to self, put the alternator in the trailer! coolsmiley Dave and Pam, who had gone and visited Dave's Mom and Step Dad, met us at the castle and we headed for a trout farm state park, again forgot the name, where we ate a late lunch. It was then decided we would all look for a place to stay. ??? Pam went to searching the internet and came up with the Clearlight Inn in Hermitage at Pomme de Terre Lake. cooldude What a find this was. A very nice family run motel in a nice quiet laid back community. angel The six of us made our self's at home in the lobby and watched the Chiefs become the only unbeaten team in the the NFL, can I get a GO CHIEFS! 2funny They left us the key and told us to lock up when we went to bed. Shocked The rooms were very nice and comfortable and we all got a very goodnight's sleep. Smiley A family run restaurant across the street provided a great breakfast, plus a surprise Birthday Cake for Pam Shocked, whose birthday is today. Kiss Then it was time for the ride home which was uneventful, but enjoyable. Cool Thanks to all who made the weekend, just what the doctor was ordering.........relaxation.  coolsmiley

Wow! Now that is the kind of weekend ride to take. I showed Mary the "color" pic Rob posted. Aewsome!  cooldude

We really wanted to make this ride but had other family plans.

Hopefully next year!

I need to make sure I don't plan a long trip too close to the time of the MO Fall Color ride next year.  Evil

Enough time has finally passed since our 11 day trip that Mary is willing to listen to me discuss future rides again!

I still plan to post a ride report but Mary is still sorting through almost 1100 pictures. I have to wait......
