Well we are home!

What a great weekend!

We started off Thursday and beat the snow out of town

, from there it was win, win. We had a great ride with Joe and Chip at the Mo. Fall Color Ride, we got to see lots of friends and made some new ones.

Sunday we started for home and well got kinda sidetracked. ??? After a few calls Cyndi and I were able to get another day off so we did not need to be home till today!

We were having such a good time and we managed to hook up with Rob and Shehanna and later Dave and Pam, who all also manged to get another day, so the adventure continued.

We road southwest of Eldon and went to a really cool Castle ruins that sit on top of a bluff over looking one of the Ozark Lakes and resorts.

It was very cool area and quite relaxing wandering around the castle enjoying the beautiful day.

We met several folks from all over that too, were enjoying the day. While there Lori called, her and Carl were going to a motel/cabin her grandparents use to own when she was a kid, and stated they had lost the alternator in the Valkyrie.

Really, well guess who forgot his extra alternator at home. Yep, me!

Been carrying that thing to every ride for two years and I forget it this trip.

They were working on getting another battery and changed their minds about the side trip and went home as I understand it.

Glad they made it home okay.

Note to self, put the alternator in the trailer!

Dave and Pam, who had gone and visited Dave's Mom and Step Dad, met us at the castle and we headed for a trout farm state park, again forgot the name, where we ate a late lunch. It was then decided we would all look for a place to stay. ??? Pam went to searching the internet and came up with the Clearlight Inn in Hermitage at Pomme de Terre Lake.

What a find this was. A very nice family run motel in a nice quiet laid back community.

The six of us made our self's at home in the lobby and watched the Chiefs become the only unbeaten team in the the NFL, can I get a GO CHIEFS!

They left us the key and told us to lock up when we went to bed.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable and we all got a very goodnight's sleep.

A family run restaurant across the street provided a great breakfast, plus a surprise Birthday Cake for Pam

, whose birthday is today.

Then it was time for the ride home which was uneventful, but enjoyable.

Thanks to all who made the weekend, just what the doctor was ordering.........relaxation.
