Well, this past Monday I made my way over to Daniel Meyer's house to see if we could find the source of the noise coming from the rear end of my valkyrie. We removed the rear wheel,  checked and lubed the splines, and changed out the 3 rear wheel o-rings and replaced the oem dampeners with new ones made by Pruor. We changed the rear wheel gear lube with fully synthetic gear oil as well. We checked the rear wheel bearing, and the shaft, propeller,  as well as the U-joint. Those  items looked to be O.K.. Daniel did notice that my rear wheel axle bolt had been rubbing on the inside of my exhaust pipe. Looks like when the belly tank was installed the bracket that connects the exhaust to the belly tank brought my exhaust pipes in closer to the rear wheel causing the slight rub. The only other thing that I found was that when I removed my beetle bags the right Progressive 440 HD shock was leaking. With the generosity of Jeff Latimer (Wanderer), he brought me a set of Interstate shocks to use while I send my shocks off to Progressive to have them rebuilt. I also want to thank (Dave in Frisco) for stopping by with Jeff to lend a helping hand. The exhaust no longer rubs on the rear wheel axle bolt and the ride home was noise free. The bike has a little over 50 K miles and it was time for the 10 K mile rear wheel maintenance ( lubing the splines and changing out the 3 o rings). No more noise and I'm good for another 10 K miles. After putting the bike back together we all went out for lunch before going our separate ways. Many thanks to Daniel and his lovely wife Carey for their hospitality, and Daniel for the use of his tools. Thanks go out to Jeff and Dave for their help as well. I rode the bike home like I stole it and all seems to be good.

Great report, Victor.  Happy to help.  Thanks again for the burger.
