Will the piaa headlight bulbs plug into the stock Valkyrie bulb holder or do you have to get adapter rings?
Also, is there any problem about the heat that the piaa bulbs put out or with the current draw of the 55W=85W bulb?

Not sure about standard or tourer but the I/S you have to snip of two of the little ears on the base of the bulb and some say you need to adapter some say you don't I bought a set before I had read that you probably don't need the adapters so I run them since I own them.

In the I/S no issues with heat and I would guess no issues on the other models either. the current draw is also not a concern as far as I know. You are still only using 55W they are claimed to produce equal light volume as an 85W bulb and only consume 55W of power.

Here is a comparison between the Piaa head lights and an HID upgrade install.
The Piaa is the one on the right side of the picture the more white looking one.

And as a comparison here is a shot with just the Piaa's installed.

Keep in mind the pod lights are also Piaa bulbs and the extra set directly below the headlights are some el cheapo 35W or maybe 55W bulbs from Walmart.

here is another angle.
