I have a 2000 Standard that now has most Tourer options on it apart from windscreen, which it really needs. Can someone tell me the height and width of the OEM windshield for the Tourer model, I had Tourers in the past and the screen height suited me perfectly and would like to stay with those dimensions if possible. Also what other brand is suitable ?. Price for a full windscreen kit including all the mounting brackets etc is a bit over $2600 NZDollars Be very interested in others thoughts on this. TIA

I have all the hardware for the OEM tourer windshield, which most feel is the best setup for either the Tourer or the standard. Clearview makes replacement windshields that fit the stock hardware, and they are actually better quality than OEM. You could take my hardware, order the stock sized Clearview, and come out WAY ahead on cost compared to the ridiculous price from Honda. PM me if the hardware interests you, and hopefully we can make a deal and get you going.

the stock OEM shield has a hole in it for the light and when mounted there is a small part of clear shield under the headlight bucket after market shields don't have this on them I call it a chin

Hi Mmurffy03, Thanks, I have arranged a deal for the hardware, I also contacted the local Honda Dealer and just about had a heart attack when he said a bit over $1400 NZ for an OEM Screen. I haven't contacted Clear view yet, was also wondering about Memphis Shades, anyone got thoughts on them ?. Also sent a query to Direct Line Honda who just replied that I should contact my local Honda Dealer...Duh...been there done that, that was why I was asking them...maybe its my Kiwi accent...LOL Thanks again

You are on the right track. Get the OEM hardware, and put a Clearview on it.

There was a post on here sometime ago comparing the Clearview and the OEM windshield. The OEM is shatter proof, thereby being much safer, and the Clearview is not.

Don't forget ebay.
I got a Honda shield with some road rash for $125 USD. Freight included.
I'm gonna cut it down. Sides flush with the outside of the vertical stays and 4" off the top. Maybe a Wing vent in there too.
