Most good sized towns have an auto electric shop that rebuilds alternators. Hoser

(But the alternator will be rebuilt, not new.)

Also note that with a very simple modification, the 1500 Goldwing alternators will fit the Valkyrie (cheaper and probably easier to find in stock).

What Hoser said.  cooldude
That what I did. I pulled it and had Honda rebuilt it 2x then took it to a shop in town on the 3rd time.
Cost me a C-note. Still good to go and has lasted longer than the first 2x combined.  uglystupid2

I bought a rebuilt and it was noisier that h_ll!  No refund offered, only exchange.

Put in a new Hitachi and it is silent........but more expensive.

I now have a noisy rebuilt spare on the shelf.
