Our pipe covers are really nothing more that quasi heatshields held on by 2 "straps" that wrap around the pipe itself.  If these straps fail, I believe hose clampswill do the job.  My question is.....how can I attach the clamps to the back side of the shields?  No, I do not own a welder, nor do I even know how to weld.  Would JB Weld, or another high heat adhesive work well to attach hose clamps to the shields?

Thanks

I asked 3wlonerider the same question yesterday in the chatroom and he said this should do the trick

http://jbweld.net/products/industro.php

both straps are broken at the covers on mine.  I bid on a set of covers off ebay and if I lose *hey sometimes losing is winning * I will be trying this method and will spring for the jbweld so you dont need to buy any

he put on truck stacks.... I am thinking about them myself
