That's the stuff, just make sure nothing is listed in the lower half of the circle on the back label.

Mobil 1 15/50 is one of the most popular oils used by the Valkyrie folks. Me included, for 123,000 miles so far.  Hoser  cooldude

The shops calendar year is Dec 1 to Nov30.

So we inventoried today.

We have 23 cases of Mobil 1, 15-50.

We buy it when Wally World runs it on sale.

They should be about ready to run a sale.  They haven't had 1 I know of in 2013.

The smaller filters shouldn't be a problem.

Been using the 15W-50 on my 2 Valks for over 250,000 miles combined.  Some Valk owners have used the 10W-40 M1 with good results.  I've noticed some Wal Marts don't sell the 15W-50, including one close to me.

Typically it's available in those superstores that have auto service centers. There not real common. Another thing I have done is ask the manager of that part of the store to special order the oil for me. Turn around is about one week. FWIW  Smiley

IS there a part number for the 40 weight oil?  There are a few Wallys near us that have service centers but I am not sure which 40w would be correct for the wet clutch.  Always thought that 50w is too heavy.
15/50 will work great for hot Texas weather.  Actualy 10/40 is fine too.  Hoser  cooldude

Excellent to know and thanks guys.  I'll look for the sale and pick up a jug or two.

Also,  I have three Honda oil filters that are "small" instead of the older style.  Are these okay to use?  I got them from HDL.

Mase

honda made the filters smaller to fit the GL1800 due to the fairing being in the way.
I use an oversized Pure I filter. same length as the org but larger dia
