Was putting my new registration away today and noticed I have alot of stuff in my bags. Left bag- 5 or 6 bandanas, 2 doo-rags, Kits headbands, 2 pr of gloves, 2 pr of fingerless, 2 sock cap beanies, 2 sunglasses, 2 clears, can and a bottle coozie, 2 kickstand plates, small bag with registration/ ins papers and maps, bike keys, and a air compressor. Right bag- my rain gear, windshield cleaner with rag, spare Hooters sweatshirt, u-joint, shave kit bag loaded with tools and spare parts, and my half cover. Its no wonder I cant fit much in them! What do you have in yours?

My left saddle bag is completely empty(it is where I carry my briefcase to work, and odd stuff like the wife's jacket on trips) so it is clean.
The other saddle bag has become a collect all. It has two hats that we never think about putting on. Sunscreen that we occasionally put on. Usually a pack of dried out sticks of gum. a shaving kit of tools from the XS11 that I need to go through. A tire patch kit (recent addition that I'm happy about so far). My registration (under the carpet mat so I can find it when I need it) a polo shirt dad gave me to put over my windshield if I decide to cover the bike. a set of loose broke wire strippers and lord only knows what else!

Left saddlebag. A couple of companies make liners which fit exactly.
Pocket of liner - spare bulbs, fuses, brake pads, electrical screwdriver.
Main compartment
Air pump which runs off a socket under seat Waterproof pants Bike cover Tool kit - I reckon I could carry out most emergency operations. Electrical wire, tape and duct tape Socket set sits under the liner 3 bungee cords behind liner Fold down lid of saddlebag - folded waterproof jacket
Right saddlebag
Empty apart from Plexus and polishing cloth
Fairing has a glove box on right and left Left
Rukka waterproof mitts and where I put my frozen bottle of water
Right
Sunglasses, kickstand pad, air pressure gauge, 3 liter frozen water container
Magnetic tank bag - also fits into right saddlebag when saddlebag is empty.
Sunscreen, pen, paper, folding knife, first aid kit, old GPS just in case, variety of state maps, sachets of Swiss Miss chocholate, mints, waterproof tank bag cover, spare ear plugs.
Honda tool kit under the seat and some plastic tie wraps.

Left bag: Registration Insurance papers In case of Emergency list of contacts - should someone go through the bag in case I'm out or dead. Kickstand plate Tire gauge log book for gas, this is in all of my vehicles Iowa map Extra pens and a black marker Right bag: Cold weather gloves Rain gear electric vest bike cover That's all I can remember right now. Seabag mounts to solo bar when I ride on a trip. Since I'm older than dirt, and I have nothing to prove on riding, MGM is usually on the trailer for when I arrive and my suitcase is on the back seat of the truck.

About the same stuff as everyone else; tools, headband led light, rain gear, long sleeve T, underarmor balaclava, spare gloves, flat kit and pump, bug cleaner-plastic polish and microfiber cloths. I am more selective on other riding gear, and take what I might need that day. Two bottles of cold water, clear varilux glasses, sunblock. And a J-frame airweight w. extra speedloader.

Good info. Got about the same as the others (bike and state specific tho). I also have a complete set of wheel bearings (just in case), tire repair kit, shaving kit with tools etc, mini compressor, gloves, shirt, Paper Registration and insurance forms. I do like the ICE (In Case Of Emergency) list..... but do have that in the phone and should probably put a piece of paper in the wallet for that as well.

... but carry a pretty good tool kit in the fork mounted leather kit ... Don't carry hard items in a fork bag. The top of your front fender will thank you one day.

No saddle bags, only a sissy bar bag and handle bar bag. Left side: Duct tape, matches, wire ties. Right side: Headphones and helmet speaker cable; helmet lock, sunglasses, cotton gloves, pens, matches. Handlebar bag: Black elastic shock straps (2); tie down straps (4); bic lighter; matches, wire ties. Under the seat: tire plugger kit. Hey, I quit smoking four months ago, but cannot let go of the habit of carrying matches and a lighter. On longer trips, I have a larger sissy bar bag that has a compact air compressor in it.

I had a lot of "smiles" reading what we put into our bags. Strange how our minds work. I thought several times, why in the World would you need ....... ??? I try to keep enough spare room to hold a 12 pack on the way home. I do keep items that help in the event of a shut down, I hope. I have a rain suit that is 10 yrs. old and still new. Regarless of what we carry, I hope it is what we need when we need it. Everybody, WATCH OUR RIDING HABITS. Make sure they are in our best interest. God Speed to all on the way to INZANE.
