I have Polk DXi 400. They are exact fit but you will need to change the ends of the speaker wire (Polk connectors are smaller). I can't comment on the sound because I do not have them connected yet. FYI they are 4 ohm's and the front speakers are 2 ohm's. They means that they will need more power (amps) to get the same volume. I have an amp to install before I connect the speakers. I would really like to find a set to replace the front ones before installing the amp. The amp is probably not a necessity but I think it will help with the 4 ohm speakers.

The DB501's from Polk audio will fit fine in the front you will need to do some custom work on the old speakers to help make the new one a perfect fit. Follow the links listed above and/or do a search for Multipoint that's my old thread that I have a few alternate pictures from my install.

I used the Honda speakers. That was 10 years ago so I don't remember specifics. I do know it was a very simple plug and play. If I did it anyone can. The quality has been ok but they don't seem to be as clear as the fronts and they are in need of replacement. That being said - I listen to speed/thrash/death metal so I have put them through plenty of abuse.

I put these J&M speakers in the rear of my 99 IS. They are a direct replacement and the terminal spades even match the Honda wiring. It was easy to take the old rear speakers out and replace them with these J&M's. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM-USK-9000

My 99 I/S didn't come with rear speakers, so the installation is from scratch. I just don't want to screw up and connect to the wrong wires.

Buy the wire already made up from Electrical Connection. I have the original installation instructions if you want them.

Thank you, yes, if you could copy the instructions and post them up or email them to me that would be a big help. I'm less than mechanically inclined so you can imagine the importance of pictures and instructions.
