Did the whole survivor, backpacking, hiking, wilderness weekend thing with my boys.  Found out that food from a pouch and sleeping on the ground isn't high on my pleasure list.  Spending time with my boys is.  Packed into the primitive camping area on Friday night.   Made a little over 7 miles in very rough terrain on Sat but the water fall was worth the effort.  Packed out yesterday.  I'm sure I survived the weekend.  My body would not hurt this bad if I hadn't survived.  Pretty sure my body is better equipped for long motorcycle rides than long hikes carrying a 60 pound pack.  (Now it is m/c related).

Glad you survived and had a great time, Doc!  Now, heal thyself.

If there is a next time, take it easier on those knees.  Sixty pounds is a lot.
