Starter Relay

I have read about checking the connector to the starter relay. If it is ok, can you coat everything with dialectric grease and put it back together. If the connector goes bad, how often is the relay itself affected and need to be replaced?
In one of the searches I found a repair kit (32110-ML8-305) but when I try to find it on the hdl web site it says that part cannot be found. Is this the correct part for the stock Honda relay?
Any other info you have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

This place sez they have the repair kit:
http://www.gearhead.com/honda-32110-ml8-305.html#/s/HOM//32110-ML8-305/1
I ordered the relay from amazon for $10.50:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007473OWI/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It seems to be made well, but that doesn't mean anything. It is in my saddlebag, just in case...

If you got the # off of this website, it is da one for an older GoldWing that will work.
Don't ask how I know this as I'm not talking about it.

Dielectric grease
It is not recommended to be applied to the actual electrical conductive contacts of the connector because it could interfere with the electrical signals passing through the connector in cases where the contact pressure is very low. Products designed as electronic connector lubricants, on the other hand, should be applied to such connector contacts and can dramatically extend their useful life.
