Gilligan and Navigator - Wherever we ended up

Southwest Indiana

« on: July 18, 2009, 12:17:58 PM »

Brian had trouble with his motorcycle trailer whipping back and forth while traveling over 50 mph.  We believe it is because of the one Valk being on a 2-track trailer and the imbalance it caused.  He dropped off the trailer and the Valk here and headed west in his pick-up.

Noah, Rhonda, Thelma and Brian just left our place at 2:00 CDT.  Here is a pic.

Russell, why the 7734 didn't you call me?

If he had let the ladies drive the truck and he ride the Bike to KC, MO, I'd of taken my trailer down to him for the rest of the trip.

He did consider riding the Valk, but decided not to as he was not prepared to ride any long distances (ie. no proper clothing).

BTW, I have to admit I didn't think of your trailer.   Embarrassed  I don't think he wanted to ride the Valk to KC anyway.  Wink

Apparently I had to much weight on the tongue. Raising the rear of the car shifted just enough weight to reduce the problem.
I am told the same issue results if the tongue is to high.
Trailer should be level with about 100 -150 lbs. on the hitch.
Good luck..
