What is the status on the Trans Cover?
If one was available, can you get a gasket to put it on?
I have a reason for asking.

Lee- I sure hope you're not in the same boat!!  Honda says there is no stock at present in any of the USA warehouses and first shipment to USA is Sept 1.  I've been unable to find any salvage yard that has a "donor" engine.  They'd (understandably) prefer to sell the whole engine or major parts. I'll be trying to contact Pinwall come Monday.

Earl if you want I can check stock with Honda Canada and see if they have one and  can send it to you.  Send me an e-mail if you want to try this with the part # that you need.

OKEE- DOKEE Eral here is the deal.
I have the cover you need, but if you don't have or can't get
the gasket to put it on with then you still have a problem.
It would be very hard to make a gasket for this cover.
Does it come with the cover or can you buy it seperate?
Does your local dealer have one?

Lee, I can't check with dlrship until Tuesday AM to see if the gasket, O-rings and oil boss is o"on-the-way already, but will do so first thing Tuesday.  I'll get back to you on that.  How is it that you have the cover?  Got a price in mind yet?

Madmike: I'd appreciate your checking for the part in Canada and if there is one, what the price in U.S. plus shipping would be. Right now I'm following up with Lee as he may have one.
Thanx

OK I just got back from a ride this evening.  I have a junk engine.
I have already checked the trans. cover and its in good shape.
I also have the bolt that you broke.  I think its the upper left water
pump bolt (looking at front of engine).  Thats the only one that does
not go through the trans cover.
I have a Niece who lives in Pensacola.  She has been up here in Northeast Tn.
visiting for the last 3 weeks.  She plans on going back to Pensacola next Sunday.
So I can send the part by her.
Post a link to HDL fish showing the part or parts you need so we know we are on
the same page.
As for price, something less than half what a new one would be or what ever you
want to pay hows that?
Like I say make sure you can get a gasket first.  If you haft to wait till Sep. for
a gasket to then you mite as well get a new cover.
