I am looking for a "good quality" volume, on/off controller for the passenger intercom on an Valk Interstate.
I see a few out there and some of the reviews are not the best.
Your expertise would be much appreciated, any recommendations. Looking for a quality unit.

Why not use the one on the IS? There is intercom volume control on the controller. If you want it off, just turn volume to "0".

This would be for the passenger to control the amount of volume in their head set, different then the operator of the bike. Each can choose their own volume to suit themselves -soft, loud, louder, or off.

we have the unit from J&M. wife says it works fantastic.
but you have to have the new style headsets for it to work. the newer style is 8 pin at the helmet converted to 5 pin at the bike.

Thanks seen that J&M cord, but I need a 5 pin to 5 pin. The reviews on that cord have been good.
I will contact J&M to see what they can do for a match.

Sierra Electronics stands behind their stuff.

J&M stands so damn far behind ya can't get sheet taken care of.

I have a J&M cable I bought in 97 for my Chevy Trike CB.    It went to pot in under 60 days.    Called J&M, they said send it back.    3 weeks later I got my cord back with a short note that said this cable has been severely handled which voids the warranty.     Called then and asked if it was a used cable they sent me when I bought it.    The butt wipe hung up on me.      NO more of my business.

I just call Sierra Electronics now.
