Terry, glad your out riding in these cooler temps.  cooldude
A few of us wait all summer for this weather and still underdress...and wonder why.  laugh
After reading your other post, I got out my map and checked out the areas you were riding. Then got thinking about two things to ask you.
First is how accurate is the temperature on the Worthington Springs icon, compared to your actual at the bottom of your posts here on the site. Early AM today you showed 54 degrees vs my communicator temp of 61 degrees via accuWeather. I was thinking it has to be colder than 7 degrees difference up your way.
The other thing I was wondering was which bike you rode? Do the cooler temps lean you toward the Interstate , with more wind protection or the Rocket machine that ya just gotta love riding!!!

James this is my almost favorite time to ride.  57 degrees this morning as I type at 7 am.  I like the early spring when I can just wear my mesh jacket and don't need anything to keep my knee's warm.
As far as the bike I rode the Rocket III Friday and the Interstate on Saturday.  Rode both days with the same guys but it was a little cooler on Saturday and I dressed for it.  I have cold weather jacket made by Tourmaster and pants by Joe Rocket.  Two piece that has removable liners and the pants have the zippers and Velcro up the outside of the legs and are also water resistant.  I have worn this suit in 30 degree weather in N.C. and not been cold with just a tee shirt inside.
Love riding the Rocket III for the acceleration factor, but the Interstate is definitely more comfortable for an all day ride and I have done so many things to it that it just feels like part of me when I ride.  Smiley
