I was at the McDonalds drive thru this morning because I was running late and didn't have time to eat at home. I get to window 1 to pay and the girl smiles and said the person in the car in front of me paid for my meal.
Well that's a first, made my day cooldude I will be sure to pay it forward.

Isn't that a great thing Doug. I have done it at the drive-thru a few times when I see an elderly couple or a tired looking Mom and a couple of screamers behind me. It made you feel good..and made the kind person who did it for you feel even better.

Doug, that makes for a nice surprise, I've done it in the past. Once for a young gal with twins in tow who obviously had her hands full. They appeared to be about 2 yr. old which is a challenge for any parent. I wanted to stay anonymous but apparently the clerk behind me told on me. When she left, she walked by my table and squeezed my arm....nothing more, but I knew.

I recently had someone do the same for me. With my current hip trouble I can't bend over or raise my right leg enough to attend to my feet, so Rita suggested I go for a pedicure. I finally gave in and went to a place she goes to for manicures and they seated me right away. It was obvious I was in pain, walking with a cane and could barely climb into the chair. Across from me was a nice looking young gal that exchanged pleasantries with me while she was getting a manicure. A few minutes later, while one gal was working on my ugly feet(wonderful feeling), a second one came up and offered to do my fingernails. I finally agreed and was glad I did....also a great feeling since they massage your arms and shoulders. She also was one of the few attendants that could speak English. The young gal across from me got up to leave and someone brought me a paid receipt; she had asked for me to have a free manicure and paid for it. The old hip didn't hurt quite so bad when I left.  cooldude
