I don't remember any freeze plugs in a 1500 motor, and a block heater would use the opening to heat. might find a dipstick type that is short enough to work. Get that cold there, Mate?

As mentioned, you can probably find one that will fit in a radiator hose. I keep the bike covered and have just tossed a trouble light [ caged] under the bike. That alone keeps it fairly/somewhat/almost warm.

Here you go. Used to use them for improper uses (some cable ties make the work as a valve heater). They also have a euro division if that'll help. Some of the models have a good adhesive to stick it to the bottom of the block.

I've ridden my Valkyrie down to about 16°F without problems starting. Why do you need an engine block heater? Did you put a Valkyrie engine in a snowblower or something?

On the rare occasion I want to go riding and the bike in the shed is like a deep freeze, I take one of my little (and very safe) ceramic heaters out and plug it in and set it under the engine. (used to aim it up at the engine, but new ones have shutoff mercury-movement switches) In 20-30 minutes, she is nice and warm. The Battery Tender is already plugged in in 24-7-365. The synthetic oil we use is probably like water in the cold anyway, but the heat makes it much easier on the bike if it hasn't been run for weeks of cold.

Ditto on the little heater....... If its winter and I get the urge to start her up, just to hear that wonderful sound....... I just turn on the heat in the Garage..... Brad
