I have the bag rails and the flag mounts to it. I always thought the US flag was supposed to be on the right side, but today saw a bunch ride by with all but one on the left side. So....who's right, anybody know for certain? Posting this took less energy that reseaching it online!!

Never mind, just got a call from my nerdy cousin and asked him.

He gave me a quick site reference and I'm right...it goes on the right. Feels good to be right once in awhile. Wonder if I should let my wife know of this triumph?

Goes on the right. So when the kickstand is down, the American flag is higher.

thanks, Popeye, that little bit of info will certainly help me to remember. I always get confused as to whether they're looking at the bike from the front or the back.
We refer to the saddlebags as "high" or "low" rather than left or right for that reason. Flag goes on the high side.
Got it!
