While re-installing my air horns, I dropped a bolt, and of course, it disappeared.

But, while looking for it, I spotted a bare wire under the carbs. WTF? It was light green and had a sheath or cover and I knew it was OEM.
So, off with the radiator and I discovered I must have pulled this wire out of the metal connector a while ago, like two winters ago, when I was re-installing the PITA plastic air guide plate. It's the wire in the picture just below the green coolant temp sensor and it goes in the collar under the thermostat bolt. I fixed it.
My question is, why didn't I have any negative effects? None that I noticed anyways, in almost two years. My coolant fan worked, not that it comes on that much up here in NE, but I rode two Feb in FL.
What's up with that?
