Howdy everybody -- I met a bunch of you at Jerry & Sherry's get together in Z-hills 2-3 weekends ago.  I was the guy with the 98 Valk Tourer (with all the chrome goodies) parked at the end of their driveway.

Santa said I could order some safety goodies for Christmas, so I'm looking for some advice from my fellow FL Valk riders.  I would love your recommendations for the following 3 safety items -- need to know what to get AND if I should let dealer install (degree of difficulty):

1) Modulating headlight device --- be seen from the front

2) Modulating brake light --- be seen from the rear

3) Mirrors with LED signals built in

Really appreciate any advice you can provide, as I'd like to get stuff ordered in the next day or two, and then installed prior to the ride up to Bert & Sherrie's January 4th ride.  Thanks y'all!!!

For the rear I use a Kury Triple whammy, make the blinkers red running/brake lights.
The stock brake light has a backoff modulator (5 flashes then steady)
Last I have Hyperlights flashing ultra bright red led modules near the license plate.  They are on steady (but breath slowly brighter and dimmer) and flash when the brakes are applied.

For the front driving lights.

1. It's just my opinion and understand it's just like noses, everyone has one.  I don't like headlight modulators.  I have added an extra pair of lights to our bikes down a little lower than the headlight.
2. Back off brake modulator is very simple to install.  Just cut the brake light wire going to the back of the bike under the seat and add their unit in line.  Works great.  Blinks as Gil said then solid. Then repeats.
3. I also added a ring of LED lights from Electrical Connection,  they function as extra brake and turn signals.  They go inside the turn signals on the rear.  I will attach a link, but it would be good to call them and ask which one fits the Valkyrie as I don't recognize the part number for sure.
