For those of us that don't live in that area, I'm assuming it's MacDonald's on Hiway 41 just North of Hiway 54.  Correct?  I hope that "darn" honey do list doesn't get in the way!

Billy - let me know if you make it up this way. I have stuff to do around here but may take a lunch break and meet you over in Leesburg at your restaurant of choice.
Call me and let me know tomorrow.
Would suggest you at least make a stop at Sleepy Hollow at some point tomorrow.

lol Pappy you are funny, lately i started liking the fairings, never before, so i bought a shell last week havent mounted yet, kinda like the one on Berts red and black but i put on the bike and looked really good, i made some brackets my self and will mount it soon using the OEM shield brackets that way i can switch back and forth btwn windshield and fairing without having to take off the OEM SHIELD HARDWARE.

Like Billyboy mentioned we didn't do a whole lot of riding; right at 105 miles for me, a few more for Bill coming across the bay. We knew weather was supposed to be coming in later in the day so we didn't commit too far out by our standards. We met Sherri, Jerry, John Paul at Springlake Hess as well as meeting 98pacecar (Jim), and Bronxboy and his riding group. The Hess normally is like going to car night, except for motorcycles; tire kicking with every kind of bike and rider one could imagine, but not many in today.
Jim (98pacecar) headed out early to avoid the incoming weather and Bronxboy and his group went for a ride.
We (Sherri, Jerry, John Paul, Bill, and myself) headed over to Coney Island for a little lunch, conversation, a little this and that planning. After lunch the Sheffjs and company mentioned heading toward Floral City, while Bill and I headed toward home and out of the impending rain. We checked out another road we knew but had not charted on the way back through our normal gauntlet. I got home and hopped on the lawn tractor and mowed the front lawn.....Jeeze, mowing the lawn December 14th....at least not shoveling snow....
Well, here's a few pic's, by no means Tundra or Grumpy quality.

(clockwise)Bill, Steve, Jerry, Jim, John Paul, Sherri

Not a big gathering today. Seems more Valks than HD's and others.

98pacecar's valk, very nice looking ride. Steve's black ST in the background.
Note the mirror on the back of Jim's helmet.
Maybe he'll chime in and write a little about it......really kinda cool !!

Coney Island parking right before the rush.

I was going to photoshop some eye's on Jerry's eyelids........

It was really nice to meet 98pacecar(Jim) and Bill's friend Steve. Steve rode a fantastic looking black ST. Wish I'd have taken a pic of it; car tire equipped, very clean sharp ride. Might put one on my wish list, if not a Rocket III. As always, I enjoyed catching some wind with Billyboy, for no reason I know, as we have shared many miles together, Bill and I ride very well together and seem to stay on the same page most of the time. No rain in Tampa until 5 am Sunday morning.....figures.

Great Pic's. James, It was too far of a Ride for us to  Beat the Rain Home. It started raining in Ocala around 1:30 pm and didn't stop until around 7:00 am this morning,(Sunday). Maybe Next Time.

Nice pics James, thanks for posting cooldude
Good looking faring Billyboy. Does it have better wind protection? Do you need to remove the OEM windshield mounting hardware? or can you leave it on? I'm told they smooth out the ride at higher speeds and less helmet buffeting, true? Nice shirt, ha ha ha
Sweet looking ST-1300, see if he wants to trade for an old beat down Valkyrie?

Hey Billyboy, the bike doesn't match the fairing. You need to repaint the bike now.  2funny

Yes, it moves wind over head and you get not as much buffering from trucks.
Removed all hardware and I did not get her over 90 mph yet. Love the T. And no.
  See ya next week.   Cheesy

Hey John; Not sure what to do, I think I'll leave it like it is for now. Just hard to
find a good painter., Hell my seats are black, tires are black. Maybe some pinstriping.
Let me know what you think.   uglystupid2  Yhanks   Bill

Billyboy. There's a very good bike painter in Pinellas Park. Ain't cheap, but very good. Attitude Custom Painting off 62nd Ave. Scott just finished the fairing I mounted on my wife's FatBoy, matching 15 year old paint perfectly. If you look up his website, you'll find another VALK paint done in candy apple red metal flake.....SWEET. At least you have options. Did you add the lowers to you batwing? I didn't see them in the pix. What windscreen did you use?

And the are two votes from this household for getting the batwing painted to match the rest of your bike. It would be sweet!

Hey Pappy I was lucky, I had mine on while I was hanging out with that group.   Roll Eyes

Woody; I did put on the lowers, had to cut them for the turn thingies. Went with the
9" recurve. I love it, not as much buffering behind trucks.   cooldude
  I'll think about painting.
