No, I'm not talking about Santa Claus!  I keep hearing a noise that I just can't pin point where it's coming from.  Could be a mal adjusted timing belt, radiator fan motor bearing, windshield or even my new Baker Wind Wings!  Put your ear right up next to your computer and hold your breath.  Do you hear it?  LoL   uglystupid2

Found one of the noises!  The chrome radiator ends and screen were vibrating.  Used some rubber tubing to take the rattle out.  First chance I get I'm going to check the timing belts and see if they are tensioned properly.  Just seems like a similar vibration sound I've heard before.

The Chrome covers are held in place by screws behind the reflectors.  Remove the reflectors and tighten the screws.  They are held on by double sided tape.

How do the reflectors come off?  No screws and don't want to force.

I warm mine up carefully with a heat gun (hair dryer should work) and slowly pry them off as Bert does.  I always replace the tape and stick the reflectors back on.

I warm it up with dryer as Gil mentioned, and cut between the reflector and side cover with fishing line using a back and forth sawing motion. Comes off quick and easy. WD-40 will safely remove the remaining adhesive. Then clean and apply fresh double sided tape.

A little tip with the fishing line. It kinds cuts into the fingers so you might want to wear some tight fitting gloves. No prying needed with the line so you shouldn't be breaking anything.  cooldude

Finally got around to hunt down some noise makers.  I was right when I thought the timing belts were not tentioned properly.  Both belts deflected approximately 5/8"!  I adjusted them and it was a trade off for a different kind of noise from the belt area.  Both tentioner's are new.  Maybe I could pack the belt cover with fiberglass!  LoL  The center stand comes up and bangs on the lower exhaust pipe.  I looked underneath and could not find any kind of adjustment so I guess I'll have to manufacture something.
