The tube takes a convoluted path to the recovery tank so use some string when you pull the old one out.

That way you can take the old one to the auto store and match it up.

I don't consider that tube to be a preventive maintenance item and if it is still working properly, I wouldn't change it.

Putting on my fancy smancy radiator grill a few days ago, I noticed the tube hard and kinked /pinched so I replaced it. Easy on a 2001 I.S. you will need about 4 ft. of hose,(only use about 3ft), a new shifter pedal rubber cover, new air filter, and some chrome polish. Remove the side covers and gas tank, and plastic neck cover, r/h side...Finesse, the tube off the radiator with lots of finesse, and be careful there ....(the kink obviously at the top of the radiator/frame) we can always use a new shifter pedal rubber and air filter,,right...

the offended tube .

the offending crevasse

The tube just clips in with the main wire harness.

What do I see in these old rice burners anyway???  Yes its cold and raining (no riding today) here! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
