Hi all,

my '99 standard is black and orange. I have only ever seen one other in this colour scheme. I think it looks great and really stands out on the road and amongst a crowd.

It seems to me this colour is quite rare. Does anyone else here have one in this colour?

Cheers,

Mark

Well, mine didn't start life that way, but it is now. The seat and pipes have since been changed.

I've got an orange and black '99 also. I don't see many others but someone locally has one too.

So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Saw one last fall on Craigslist somewhere in KY.   A Standard as I remember.   Wasn't what I was looking for but, that had little to do with the colors.    Was overpriced and looked as if it had been rode hard and put up wet a bunch.   Who knows, color may have played a role in my passing on it but I doubt it.   Darker colors with distinctive markings tend to attract me.   Who knows...........  Wink

Was only made in 99 and then only 240 of them ever made in that color.  Just recently sold mine but had nothing to do with the color.  Rode here for 8 years.

According to Dag, it is the rarest color, wish I had one to go with my sonoma red and ivory, the most common color after black.  Hoser  cooldude

My buddy Eddie had one (some of you may have seen pictures of it) and sold it last winter. It was PRISTINE and I almost punched him in the face when he told me he'd sold it. He's regretted it ever since.

He's got a Yamaha Raider now and he claims he likes it (and it is a nice bike) but I can see the sadness in his eyes.

I had a friend(Don Abadie) in Westwego, La that had one ten yrs ago. He liked it because he considered them to be Harley colors.

I have a friend that lives down the street from me that has one. He put a Honda windshield on it and Champion hard bags. The last time I rode with him he had less than 3K miles on the bike. It just sits in his garage.     Undecided

A few years back there was a guy on here that had one with Harley bags and trunk. He called it a Honda Davidson, I think he sold because he was older the bike was too big for him.

What is not obvious from this picture is the bike was repainted as white with blue spots...all the high speed travel has made the blue paint run towards the rear.  2funny
