Has anybody got any experience with seafoam in their fuel? My carbs have never been disassembled  but seem just fine if they are 17 years old so I'm hoping seafoam would clean any gonk out.

I put some in every so often for cleaning.  When I got my Valk it has some jet issues and I was told to run a can in it and have the engine pull the fuel thru to clean em up.  Been working great since.  I use it for fuel stabilizer and later in the spring to clean things out some more.

I use Seafoam in everything. In the fall I add it to the gas and run it thought the motor and then run it dry. Never had any problems after 110,000 miles. My weedeater run better after using Seafoam. Good stuff!

Helps about 1x a year remove any hesitation or rough start conditions.  Many people love the stuff, and a few of the lucky ones will find a fresh can of Seafoam in their stocking Christmas morning.

Enter SEAFOAM into the search box and you'll find lots of good  discussions regarding sf.

IMHO, Techron is a better cleaner.

Been using Sea-Foam for about 40 years and buy it by the gallon.  Thoroughly mix a bottle with the fuel and go ride.

Cleaning; full 16oz can per tank
Maintaining; 1 oz per gal

Do you use a whole can to a tank of gas or less?

IF your carbs are really gunked up a whole can-what? 14 16 ozs?? AND run the bike below 2000 revs so it will get into the slow jets. 20 30 miles or so and let her sit over night and try it again. I use the Techron and B-12 Chem Tool. And for the first time since I've had mine when I parked her 2 weeks ago-loud sigh  Undecided Stabil. RIDE SAFE.

Been adding sea foam on a routine frequency for the last five years.  Just recently tried Techron.  I agree with BF.  From my perspective, Techron is much more effective.

I believe Exxon/Chevron gas uses techron as one of their additives . I have never used Seafoam. Used Techron in the bike and all my vehicles. Advance Auto is always running sales of this stuff. I buy it then. I even run a little Marvel Mystery Oil thru at times. I suggest you find a gas station that sells 100% gas. There is a website I believe is Pure-Gas.com will allow to find a station in your area. This all I am using now in the bike and the small engines here. I have a lot of small engine issues this summer due to this ethanol crap.

If you are using Exxon/Chevron (and Texico too) you are not getting "pure" gas because as a top tier vender they have to have higher levels of cleaner additives (aka: Techron in this case) to remain a top tier gas.
