The Jake Wilson valve stems have been brought up several times. The nice thing about them is you can tighten after install as the adjustment is on the outside. They are only $2.

Free shipping at Jake Wilson through 12/19 with no minimum purchase amount, not the usual $7 minimum fee.

For $4 you could do the Valkyrie, or just have some spares on hand for the next tire change.

These could make great stocking stuffers.

Thanks for the heads up, Beanman. Between the son and buddies, I was out.  Got a couple of dozen, that should last for awhile.

Are these the ones where you install them without the need to the Honda bracket holder thingy or am I thinking of something else.  Whats the advantage of these stems?  I have always used the Honda ones and have never had issues.

No "bracket holder thingy" necessary with the Jake Wilsons, but I left mine on.

OEM's are a weak spot on the Valkyries. Some report failures.  OEM's have metal stem with rubber base that can flex as the wheel goes faster or when you put  air in, especially if "bracket holder thingy" is missing. OEM cost $8+ Jake Wilsons cost $2. Many recommend replacing stems at every tire change. Another advantage Jake Wilsons can be tightened if need be after install.

On the parts diagram I looked at, the "bracket holder thingy" was called a "Rim Valve Holder".

Thanks, ordered 8 and put one in today to replace the older Patch Boy type that I suspected might be the reason my front tire is losing some air.  Replaced it via the C-clamp method.
