I am transferring the guts of my front forks over to chrome tubes and lowers. The guy that is doing this for me discovered that the sliders on both forks are seized in to the lowers. He is a 30 year Honda Tech, so I trust that he can't get them out.

Anything I see online is that you either buy the whole set of forks (used) or the sliders attached to the lowers (new and huge $$$).

With the used, there is no guarantee that the sliders will come out of lowers, as they may be seized as well.

Anybody know a source for a set of sliders only, or a set of sliders and lowers that are known to be able to be separated?

Heat the castings up and the tubes will unscrew.

The tubes are installed with a thread locker and that

is why they will be very difficult to remove.

Talked to him later in the day and told him do what you got to do (blowtorch, nuclear, voodoo, etc) to the lowers to get them off without mucking up the sliders.

He called a few minutes ago telling me he got them off and everything has been changed over.
