You could put screen doors over the radiator pods and store a lot of stuff in there.

I totally agree with you Joe, that was my concern also. Not to mention the radiator pods are so close to the forks how would you do a windshield there. It would stop me buying the bike if I had to settle for bags like the Rune.

Modern 2 wheel version of the 59 Chevy. Not only left over 1800 engines must have had a LOT of plastic to use up also. RIDE SAFE.

If I were to use it for touring I would just tow a trailer and use a quick release fly screen.

That will be one of the next bikes I purchase....... if not the next....
In 5-10 years...LOL
I think they will come up with some nice options..... even if they don't, we are a creative bunch.
I think it's a great idea and will probably ride and handle great.. better than our current bikes. The looks...Meh... but they are growing on me. and the red color option is a definite possibility.
And I'll bet that you will be able to replace almost al the black plastic with chrome plastic... you can on a Wing.

Time will tell ... I hope it does good however I got it in my head all the new Valkyrie and F6B are is just a way for Honda to thin out some 1800 motors so they can come out with a new engine for their flagship the Gold Wing.

Well according to rider mag. there will be Honda saddlebags. Whether they are soft or hard I don't know. Most likely soft. ". Tailor-made Honda Genuine Accessories will include a backrest, wind deflector, passenger floorboards, luggage rack, saddlebags, two different windscreens, LED fog lights, a 12V power outlet and various bits to add a custom look." If they are Hard, they will probably look about like the F6B's

I don't think I'd bother to go see my banker with what I am currently seeing. I know it'll run and handle but, it's got to look good also and right now, it's barely a 4 on a 1 to 10 scale for me. Although, I have high hopes Mother Honda will come through for us.

I tell you what, the more I see pics 8f the F6B the more I like it. Especially with Corbin seat options. I've spent time searching audio enhancements to the sound system though. I've heard/read many complaints about the audio . I really like my audio now and would hope to find a way to match it in the F6B if I wrre to go that direction. I know, priorities right Does anyone know the speaker size of the stock speakers in the F6B? I've read that they are 6 or 6.5 " .Is that right?

As time goes on I think to myself that I would really like to have music on my bike. I really think I would ride more if I did. Mounting speakers in the saddlebags (especially woofers which are not directional) are a great way to expand sound. Oh, and the bosses for those passenger grab-rails would be great for bag mounts. They'll come up with something.

I do see why it matters if they make bags or not. Buying the f6c means cruisin. If i want bags, ill buy and f6b. Or a wing.

Just looking at the pictures available for the new Valkyrie, it would seem that any saddle bags, especially hard bags, will require some serious sub structure/ support brackets . I'd also imagine that unless one side is inter-connected with the other, strength would seem to be questionable. I wish Honda would reveal pics of the proposed accessories. But then, maybe they haven't even got final designs for those ready.

For our kind of riding (mostly day rides) bags are not a high priority (a proper windscreen is). This thing should be a very good performer. Looking forward to a close in person inspection. Owning one may be in our (near) future.
We trudge on.

I don't know why everyone thinks Honda was a lot of left over 1800 motors. I'm sure Honda is a very lean company. They only make as many engines as they need. Where I work we make hose and we only make what is needed for that week. The next week we make more of the same.

There's a couple of studly looking bolts up at the grab rail and one down at the passenger peg that I can see... that's all we need for the Valkyries we have now... Maybe we'll have to put Champion bags on these things ... -Mike "there's a set of used Champion bags on eBay right now..."

Yeah, I want hard bags, still waiting. If the infrastructure is there, hard bags can be added though. Maybe they just won't come from Honda. I've got some Champion bags on the shelf in fact. They need a paint job.

Looking at the pictures with an open mind although neither of the new ones suit me.
Its kinda seems like what they have done is move on with the Goldwing by creating other versions with different names. Goldwing still the same, the FB6 would be the Valk Tourer, and the new Valk would be the standard?? I don't know, just a thought..

More or less... yes. It's a Goldwing minus some parts. But hey... I love my Valk for its motor, and the new Valk DOES use a flat 6! On the other hand... That new CTX1300 looks a little better to me. I like V-4 engines also! I can't wait to start seeing these bikes in person.

I don't know this bike is pretty funky ugly IMO Those saddlebags when and if Honda does made them for the new Valkyrie might look something like these and ride " High " like these Added the Valkyrie to compare .
