The Temp board, when ya post a message it appears and ya have to go to the index manually.

For me, this board goes directly to the index.

Does I got sumtin set up wrong or is the board set up to act like that?

When you post a message, click the "Additional Options", and select "Return to this topic"

I'll fix that....it should be default.
