What's the point, Momz?  Couple of a$$holes with a camera bound and determined to foment unrest at an otherwise peaceful rally.  Sure, the security dudes overreacted, but the a$$holes with the camera had no agenda but to incite unrest.

Don't jump the gun.... you are assuming that they were initiating something.   It very well could be that they were merely attempting to document a behavior (and the assults) that they have either witnessed or experienced previously (without the benefit of having cameras to document the incident).  Peaceful rally???   I think, amongst all the so called security personnel issues etc, there was the fact that they could preach or speak their religios views at the fair/rally if asked, yet attempted to get the individuals with cameras banned for distributing religious phamplets (one kid snatched it out of the their hands and took it directly to the so called security personnel.  As you must know, it is not against the law to film events in public (otherwise all news agencies would be big time violations).  Come on.....

Its going to keep getting worse.  These guys with the camera are heroes, they are showing how bad it is and it will keep getting worse if we all turn a blind eye and just pretend it is a peaceful rally of harmless nature.

Christians will be allowed to speak freely in a back ally-way one hour a day if we let it come to that point.

I feel very blessed to live a part of the country where we are far from this kind of thing........but that doesnt mean it cannot happen anywhere

This is not out of context for Muslims that follow their faith. It is not a peaceful religion and if they have their way will recruit to do harm to the US. There are moderate Muslims that desire to live in peace but they really dont follow the tenants of their religon

I attended a large Tea Party in Orlando back in March with over 6,000 people. The vast majority of them were conservative, God fearing patriots who were there to honor America, our troops and our American way of life, as well as to protest the socialist path down which our country is being lead. There were also a handful of loud-mouth anarchists shouting all kinds of crap doing their best to disrupt the event. One even had a bull horn screaming disparaging remarks towards our country, Christian beliefs, and conservatism in general.

Do you know what I didn't see? I didn't see security, or anyone else for that matter, trying to intimidate them verbally or shoving/slapping them around. What I did see was them being largely ignored.

I guess that's just the difference between a group of conservative Americans and a group of idiots.

I agree that the camera was inciting a confrontation.  However, if they were not trying to hide their faces and beliefs at the table, there would not have been anything to incite.  I see camera recordings of LEO activity and other acts in public on TV or the net all the time.  Those without anything to hide should have no problem with a recorder.

I am convinced that if the video was of a group of minority citizens setting fire to a white, straight, male, conservative, for no reason, Strong Eagle would say he had it coming.
If I said the sky was blue, S.E. would say it isn't.
Strong Eagle:  Being white, male, Christian, and conservative is not a crime.  The group that had the rally had a booth, willing to answer questions.  The people with the camera were there, they did not say anything to incite violence.  The security that ganged up on them are guilty of intimidation at the very least.  Even you can see that, but I guess you see what you want to see.
The only thing wrong that I could see is that the group that was assaulted should have had micro-cameras on some of the people so we could see the assaults taking place.

I'm always suspect when there are cuts in film so that one can't see the whole story BUT the security guys were out of order. Bunch of sad, pathetic bullies.

How is it possible for one citizen to be able to tell another citizen in a PUBLIC place what they can and can't do WHEN NO LAWS ARE BEING BROKEN!!!

I also am disturbed thinking of how some USA ex-pats overseas must talk about the USA to citizens of other countries.

What I found really ironic is that my uber-liberal step-father-in-law (The one that's an admitted full blown communist, hated Clinton for being a far right wing conservative, full on obama kool-aid drinker who thinks he's the second coming and great savior, etc) just sent me this... He was decrying the fact that Sharia law is coming to the US..... Even he didn't like the way things are going in that regard...

Guys, I have decided that there is very little hope in having any common ground with the big SE. Remember he has told us previously that we don't live in reality as he does( must be lonely there, just you and maybe Scanner). I don't feel compelled to respond to any of his posts anymore. But if it's just too hard to resist the temptation I will only post the following reply: " uglystupid2 2funny crazy2. He won't mind because he can only have an intelligent conversation with himself.

So here's the first of fewer and fewer acknowledgments that this guy even lives on the same planet as I. uglystupid2 2funny crazy2

Frist let me say that I am a proud card carrying Democrat. Not some ultra-conservative right wing Republican.

So I do believe in free speech,.....however free speech for the citizens of this country. I also believe in Christian values and the right of American citizens to both preach and question their religous ethics and teachings. This country was founded on those values,....and they must be preserved.

These are the very same people that carried a small American flag below the flag of Lebanon during the Dearborn Memorial Day parade. I wrote about this shameful behaviour several weeks ago and it would have made my immigrant parents role in their graves. My parents weren't well educated but they were insistant that my brother and I were "American" in every way. We were also taught about our ethnic heritage, but we were Americans first and foremost.

My fathers parents were exterminated in the concentration camps during WWII. They were not Jews, Gypsies, or non-aryans. They did not want to belong to the Nazi party and of course they were old and thus nonproductive. Both of my parents taught use that all races and religious had were for the most part good people.

But the behaviour of the security personnel seemed particlularly rude and suspicius. Shouldn't people be allowed to ask questions? America was based on the rights of all individuals,...not just people from the middle east.

Figured you would see it that way. So a Christian asking a question is an a___hole. Don't come to my neck of the woods. I think your the biggest biggot I've ever heard of or known about. I guess you are blind as well. This is the United States of America or what is left of it. So the Christian, wanting to ask a question and getting harrassed by some security punks is an a__hole. You didn't watch the whole video. So what if he was trying to prove a point and record it. This is still America and we have freedom of speech. We also have the right to record public events. We also have the right to assembly. If they didn't want Christians there asking questions then there should have been signs up stating that and that it was a closed event not open to the public. You just proved how biggoted you really are.

My condolences to any decent law abiding Arab-Americans out there; it's unfortunate that the $#!t floated to the surface, in this video, instead of the cream.

"scammer" 3fan?  Cool, you're so very clever - you sure remind me of Yosemite Sam, but not quite as "thoughtful and lucid".

But anyway, yeah, where do those guys in the vid think they are - setting up free speech zones? The Republican Convention? A Bush Speech? geez

But then if the "Shoe" fits.

Thoughtful and Lucid that's a novel idea, maybe YOU should try it sometime.

BTW, Did you watch the video???

From my viewpoint it was the ones that refused to answer the questions that were inhibiting "free speech".

Hey 2dumb4words   Grin, that's who I was talking about. As they were trying to move the cameras out they were telling them where the "free speech" zone was set up at.  Exactly like the Republicans did at their convention and at Bush campaign "events", except the Repubs used the Secret Service and FBI as enforcers.

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama strode head-on Sunday into the stormy abortion debate and told graduates at America's leading Roman Catholic university that both sides must stop demonizing one another.
Ahead of Obama's speech, at least 27 people were arrested on trespassing charges from protests outside the university, police said. They included Norma McCorvey, the plaintiff identified as "Roe" in the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. She now opposes abortion and joined more than 300 anti-abortion demonstrators at the school's front gate. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30782728/

Sorry Sam, I wasn't attacking you, just pointing out the facts - which u apparently still have a lot of trouble with.

By the way, u might be surprised to learn that neither I, nor anyone on here, cares about whether you like Bush.

I know it comes as blow to your esteem,  but it aint about you and never will be. Sorry Sam. Go get that danged rabbit....

Did u even watch your little video? Did you see that the protesters walked out on their own? Your so-called messiah just said bye to them as they left?  Don't see how that's relevant, but I'm sure it is in SamWorld.

Talk about an individual that lives in a world of SELF IMPORTANCE (does the phrase: "Pot calling the Kettle Black" mean anything to you?).

Actually "your" messiah gave a signal to the security to remove the protesters.

The point was which you entirely missed (and you always miss the point, even when you're the one attempting to make it) is that Obama and his handlers don't welcome protesters either.

And if you didn't think that Bashing Bush "got my goat" then why is that always the focus of your attacks?

And when I point out to you that it isn't working you attempt to make your attacks more personal.

Like I've said before, if you feel that you can't get your point across without name calling you've already conceeded a loss.

Maybe you should change your handle to "scarecrow" then you could ask the wizard to give you a brain.

Once again - and I'll type it slowly so you can understand - It aint about you Sam, sorry. My original comment included you only because you previously referred to me in a pitiful SamWorld attempt to be clever.

My content wasn't directed at you - it never is- because I really don't care about your self proclaimed "thoughtful and lucid" opinions.  Don't matter Sam, get over yourself.

As far as "signals to remove the protesters"....lol....watch carefully Sam - I know it's hard - but they walked out on their own in protest, with no security involved.  But hey, keep watchin for those secret signals and the Black Helicopters.  We're countin on you!

I just finished reading all 139 of your previous posts.

I will give you one thing, you are an equal opportunity offender, there are very few people here that you "haven't" insulted or belittled at one time or another.

I reccommend that you ask yourself two questions:

1) Why is it that you think you must insult or attempt to belittle people in order to get your oppinion across?

2) Why is it that more than 95% of your post are inciteful instead of insightful?

In the three years that I've been hanging around here I've discovered that most of the people here are "top shelf".

Time and time again I have seen people bend over backwards to help others, often someone that they've never even met.

Sure, when it comes to Religion, Politics, Oil and Car tires there is often dissent among the ranks.

But, the majority find a way to be respectful of others.

You may have noticed that you don't get much respect around here.

But, you know what?

You don't give respect, and a man does "reap" what he sows.

If you want others to have any respect for what you have to say, you must first learn to respect the oppinion of others and their right to have it.

LMAO....Sam read the post you wrote above about changing my handle to "scarecrow"...if that isn't neener neener kid stuff I don't know what is.

Also, except for 1 Valk related, every post I've made has been a comment, not a new topic. Unlike some, I don't throw that political type stuff out here on a motorcycle blog.

You continuosly rant on about how YOU are respectful and such, and then posts all this sticks and stones  crap that has nothing to do with the topic.  You consider anything you don't agree with a personal attack and respond as if it was.  Again, it's not about you Sam.

I've only responded when you bring me into the discussion...please try and get over me too.  I don't really want to argue with you or Stormtrooper (who is also referencing me but was long ago rendered irrelevant)  as I shouldn't pick on you, and I'll try to refrain from responding to your diatribes from here on out.

If u want to talk bikes I'm there, but politics is not your strong point.

I'm sure you'll respond with another half page about how you are so "thoughtful & lucid", but it's a waste of bandwidth. You live in SamWorld and I live in Reality.  We are VERY far apart. Go find that danged rabbit.

Hide? Attack? Stormtrooper, you should know better.  I was responding to F6's attack (only icons but the best he could do).  You probably missed that though.

Hey, you said you were "moving on" after your posts were banned?  Figured we all couldn't live without your wisdom eh?
