Just Riding The Many Storms Of Life

Ft.Worth, Texas

« on: December 27, 2013, 01:35:35 AM »

I think it's about time everyone knows.   I WILL be going through with a divorce about February or March,  depending on my financial situation.   Before anyone starts saying things like sorry to hear that and all, let me say this has been building up for a while now.  The Reader's Digest condensed version she had me thrown in jail under false pretenses..  This happened on the 21st of October.   I have been seperated since then.  In one of our arguments she went to the garage with a metal baseball bat and hit the bike on the front fender before I could stop her.  Put a nasty dent in it.  Some of you have seen the pictures.   Then she took the right hiway peg off and hid it.  Also gouged a screwdriver into the key ignition. Even took a magic marker and blacked out the license plate.  Plus other smaller things too.  And yes I have pictures of the damage.   Unfortunately the bike is in her name, due to an ignorant agreement about losing weight then she would sign the bike over to me.  She of course has the title and I can't go to the house without getting in  more trouble.  This is the first time in my life being in trouble, much less thrownin jail. Don't feel sorry for me.  This was bound to happen sooner or later anyway.  The reason I am letting the Texas boys know is that IF I have to give the bike back to her she will surely sell it.  Believe me I want to keep her.  A lot of work has gone into her, thanks to the DFW Chapter crew.  A few of you out there knew I was going through alot of problems, but I want to tell everyone,  so there is no doubt of what has happened. And I'm not asking anyone to choose a side either.   If she sells the bike then of course I want my baby back.  But if push comes to shove, I will  just bide my time and buy another.  I will let you all know when and if I have to give the bike back.  Just keep me in your prayers to make the right decisions. The criminal case is first then after that, again depending on my financial situation, the divorce will commence.  She says she knows a few of you. If so please be leary and watch your step  around her.  I wish no ill will toward her but use extreme caution.  I will try and make meetings if time permits.  Sorry this long and drawn out.  I hope all had a great Christmas.   And I pray you all have an awesome New Year.

In this wild and wolly world, there are only 3 things you can depend on, your brains, your bros, and your bike.  Ride free!!!

A good friend will bail you out of jail.  A true friend will be sitting next to saying "Damn, That Was Fun"

We'll keep an eye out for it for you.  I've been divorced before and sometimes its better just to move on.  The hard part is getting from here to there in that.

Good luck Walt.

If she sells it, maybe a buddy of yours could buy it and then sell it to you.

Just a thought.

If she falsely had you tossed in the brig, I sure hope you have a good Attorney that will persuade the Judge to hang her ass out to dry.

When I was gainfully employed in California we were sent to a residence about 40+ times one year.

This lady had her husband tossed in jail like 8 times, then she would let him lay for 3 or 4 days and then go bail him out.

When they went to court for a divorce this came out and the Judge didn't give her didly sheet.       In fact the Judge put a never ending order on her to never go within 50' of her ex-hubby for his or her lifetime.     That woke up some eyeballs.

Wishing you GOOD LUCK in this process.

If you do get out of this with a Divorce, I'd suggest you put her out of your life forever, unless ya have kids, then I'd fight for full custody of them and that some family member has to be present for any visitation she is allowed.  You can not totally deny her of seeing the kids and it also goes the other way, she can't deny you visitation if she is awarded the kids.

Sorry you're having to go through this process. Hopefully a bit of temporary pain will lead to long-term relief. Think addition by subtraction.

Women, you can't live with them, and you can't chop them up and bury them in the back yard.

Well, you can, but it almost never works out.

To those with long, successful marriages..... good for you.

But I will print no retraction or apology.

I'm not a lawyer, but if I might give you a bit of unsolicited advice, don't post anything about it on a public forum like this, or what you say could be used against you at any future proceedings...

Wishing the best possible outcome for you...

It sucks, Been there done that got the t-shirt and nothing else. Wound up homeless for a short while living out of my truck. Almost put up a cot in the storage facillity I put my bike and other stuff in just to have a roof over my head. It took 3 years but I finally am on stronger financial footing. If you have kids do your best to not talk smack about the ex around them believe me if you take the high road and she doesnt the kids will catch on.
