My bike has 60,000 miles and I was thinking , I never replaced those hoses.  I replace antifreeze twice but never the hoses.   When should it be done?   Is it a PITA or easy?   Just thinking of winter maintance being the weather sucks.

I've got 130,000 on mine with the original hoses.  I change my radiator fluid every 2 or 3 years, use the yellow jug (Prestone?) with distilled water.

I can't remember hearing of anyone that needed to change the hoses from normal wear and tear.

How about the guys with over 200K?

The O.E. coolant and other suitable coolants are silicate and borate free.these cooloant are much easier on the inside of the hose and gives them much longer life.
I 've been using the honda longlife coolant(blue) from the car dealer and changing it every 3 yrs. It's about 1/3 price of M/C dealer.

I changed mine last winter just because they were 12 years old. The ones I took off looked and felt just as good as the new ones I put on. It was good for peace of mind, but probably not needed.

I did the same thing.  I bought a hose slinky to put on over the hose to dress it up.  Thought I might as well put on a new hose while at it.  Ordered a new hose to go with the new slinky.

Took the old one off and and didn't see anything wrong with it.  Put the new on on anyway.  Still thought I wasted my money on a new hose.
