As I posted on the General Forum page: I've read the "explanations" in this thread and others and I'm not going to say anything is easy when it comes to selecting a site and I know you're not going to please everyone but, I really don't understand why Inzane's aren't planned two years out. Other groups do that and their members know where and when their gathering is well ahead of time. I really don't understand why VRCC doesn't do that. Every year that I've been a member it's been the same thing with folks begging for information so they could plan. Again, I know not everyone is going to be happy with the selection or the location but, at least that way, folks could make their personal plans. I don't understand a lot about the way the world turns but, I'm interested in knowing the answers I can get. I really do want to attend Inzane but, location and travel time will make a difference. Now that I know the dates, I still don't know if I can spend five days, seven days or three because, I don't know enough information. I asked for the dates posted so that I'll at least have the option. Will I be there? Who knows. I will attend some Valkyrie events this year, those that I can plan accordingly have a much better chance of me actually making it. I'm not trying to beat anyone up over this but, if I knew I could make decisions. If, Inzane was planned two years out, that information would or should be readily available. Just my opinion and it may not be worth much but, it's all mine and I'm sticking with it.  |

I do think your opinion is valid but, I also think that as long as it's not the same host city and the two events are separated by a couple of weeks if not a month, then why not. |

I'm inclined to agree with you Ron, but I know there are quite a few of the Florida group who want to go to Inzane. I guess my timing on this was pretty bad, but I set the dates for our trip before the VRCC did so how would I have known? There is just too much drama for me to continue with this until they announce where Inzane will be. If it is in South Dakota, then we can probably go with the Florida trip. I wanted to do what the group of us wanted to do and have a little fun in the mountains. We have a great group of folks here and we seem to have a good time when we meet up. But some how I have become the "bad boy" here and I'm frankly tired of the "How dare you!" PM's and emails from folks outside of our Florida group. |

There are folks out there like me that don't accrue vacation and have to go when the boss is out of town so go for it. Personally I wouldn't cancel any plans based on the plans of others.
