1st day off in 3 weeks besides Christmas day. Beat but decided I was gonna tackle putting the alt. in. Got myself all psyched up for a 8 hour battle. Go figure, got it back in 45 minutes, all buttoned up. Seems to be charging good! Just fixing to take her out for a ride and then wash 1700 miles of superstorm cleon off her. Couldn't have done it near as easy without all the good info from shoptalk and the tech board and fellow riders advice. Thanks guys cooldude

Did you put a volt meter on her? She should read around 14.2 volts at the battery. Wasn't such a bad job now was it!

Good advice again! I didn't but I`ll go check it now. It has some kind of a cheapo voltmeter led light that goes between red, orange, green as its charging. Dave I hope you won`t mind but I`m going to ask a lot of ?`s about my IS during the DV Ride. Boy there is a lot more to clean. I do my standard in about an hour. I think it took me 2 or better on the IS.
