I have a shifter that a member sent me so I could try and see if I wanted it.

I has a 1" chrome area that came off, if you don't mind you can use it the way it is or you could get it powder coated.

I have decided not to go with it, so I am passing along the deal.

$150.00 and I will bring it with me to Bert and Sherrie's get together on Saturday.

One of the three best investments I have made for the Valkyrie.  Second was Rattlebars peg lowering kit.  Third was Showchrome pull back risers.  Maybe Cobra Floorboards would be 4th.  I guess I could go on and on.  Rocket III has heal and toe shifter also.  When I get on Iris's bike I have to learn all over how to shift to a higher gear.  Smiley

Hope to get mine installed by Jeff K tomorrow at Berts. I have had heel-toe shifters on almost every bike I have owned. I can put my left floorboard back on now!! cooldude

Jeff

Because of the floorboards, I have to spread my feet more at a stop.

I would have to do some adjustments since my foot does not fit between the pegs.

No sure if it is the lack of adjustment but the back peg feels weird, not sure how to explain it.

Maybe I can check to see how you install yours tomorrow and that might change my mind.

I was really looking forward to going back to the heal toe shifter w/ boards, they really make it comfortable for long trips.

My black and red has boards front and back and I hate them. I like my cobras up front but the back boards are a trip hazard

I put the Cobra front boards on my bike as soon as I got it. I could touch the ground fine. Yes, the rear boards for my wife are a hazard, especially if I forget to flip them up.  My problem was I could not shift the darn thing. Moved the shifter all around, tried everything the board recommended but was still having to hook the shifter with the side of my shoe. Vitrually impossible with my boots on. Hence the need for the heel-toe arrangement. I can't wait to have it again and have been harassing Jeff K to death to get it on for me (sorry Jeff)!!
