Well that was quick. Feather and C-Note will be pleased.

I can be at the shop around 8am.

I know everyone has their favorite products, but there is a healthy supply of cleaning products and waxes here at the shop.

Lemon Drop- I am dying to get a look at that SuperValk.

Serk- Listen to you whiiiine. Yes Saturday even has a 6am for some of us. Of all the people, you could get up at 7:55 and be here by 8 lol. But I did not say anyone else had to be here at 8am, I just said I could be up here around 8am. You are free to drag you lazy bones up here at anytime before KSU. Looking forward to meeting you, I like your sense of humor.

Ghillie - I have a 6 year old daughter... That wasn't whining! I know REAL whining!  Wink

I'll try to come by, if work lets me... Work's been kicking my butt lately, doubly so on the weekends, but we'll see how things are shaping up next week, I'd love to get the 3 Blue Ladies together for a photoshoot if nothing else!

007, what you been up to?  I was just talking about you the other day and wondering how you were.  I guess you still have the Valk.  I bought a 2000 Red and Black Interstate and I still have my ACE Tourer.  I hope I can make the wrench party so I can catch up with you.

Everyone is welcome, and you don't have to be there when the gates open.
We should be there from 8:00AM to noonish....anyone can drop by at anytime during that window.....look forward to meeting you.  cooldude

I kept seeing Baron post and wondered if that was you, glad you finally went ahead and got a Valk, there is no other bike like it on the planet! Just remodeled mine after 9 years, and I fell in love all over again. I will make the wrench party on the 1st, maybe not by 8:00 AM, but I'll sure be there by 9:00 or so.
See ya then,

Yep, that was me alright.  I bought the IS and fell in love with it.  I have added some chrome, some forward controls, and a sheepskin seat cover and I am set.  I will see you at the wrench party.

Hey Baron,

What brand of forwad controls did you buy?  Do you like them and would you buy them again?  I have been thinking about buying some for my I/S also.

Chuck,

I bought them from Big Bike Things.  They are a good made product and help me out with my bad hip.  When you see me next time you can try them out.

Plannin on being there.  Was riding out of Alvarado last Sunday morning about 1:30 am and had my front headlight go out for about 3 minutes.  It came back on and did not give me any problems for the rest of the weekend.  Kind of scary to be at 75 mph without a headlight.  Need to figure out if it's just a loose connection or if the bulb is going out or what's happening.  I just know with the expertise that will be present I'll be able to figure it out and fix it. Doc,

Your starter switch maybe the problem.  The starter switch is used to start the bike and make a connection to your headlight.  Have you added a autorelay to the starter switch.  If not you might want to.  Look at the link below and find the Starter Button Maint link under Funtional Mods.

Thanks for the link.  I have read that thing and it still is Greek to me.  Godfire is the only one I know that can make sense out of all those lines and dots.  If you can understand that then my respect for you just went up several notches.  And I thought the electrical conduction system of the human heart was complex.  At least it makes sense.  I'll trust the combined wisdom of the collective minds at the wrench party Saturday to point me in the right direction.  C you guys Sat. Well I hope no one thinks I am a wuss, I can ride in the rain with the best of em. It's still drizzeling here in Royse City. I have checked weather and Doppler and it looks like storms are still moving in our direction from the west.

I think he doth protest too much, it's probably Rainmaker's fault.

I hope this doesn't clear out in the next hour or so and I regret the decision, PARTY CALLED ON ACCOUNT OF RAIN.

They say today is the end of this mess and I have not managed a decent ride in two weeks. If it really clears out by tomorrow morning, is anyone up for a Sunday lunch run?

(Just kidding, turns out I had to be up early this morning for work anyway...)

We'll get together eventually, it's all good!

Godfire,

You have that set for Labor Day weekend. I am really hoping to get a three day ride in there. I would also think that it might not be good for alot of others with plans for the holiday. Then again it might be great. If you want to shift it a week, I am all in. If you leave it for that weekend, you are welcome to use the shop. I can get you a set of keys
