loads of great roads close to Asheville.  If anyone wants to make some runs on this great stretch, let me know.  Mid week this road should be empty.

DAMN that dude is good Shocked

Did you notice his eyes were always looking where he wanted to go.

We had to qualify on courses like that but not the long.    We would turn the course in like 36 seconds.     The fastest I ever turned it was 36.4 seconds.

I hate to admit this on a Honda Valkyrie site, but that Harley is a easier manuvering motor compared to the Valkyrie.

No doubt, with some practice, the Valkyrie could probably be pushed through in a close time to the 1:57 he turned.

I too agree an HD bagger is easier to maneuver it a tight spot.

That is Jerry "motorman" Palladino in the video. He has the nationwide riding seminars called Ride Like a Pro.  Well worth the cost of admission.
A bunch of us took Jerry's Ride Like a Pro class in Houston a couple of years ago during a GOTF weekend and it was great.  However, the rider in the video is the great Donnie Williams.  He teaches MSF classes in the DFW area.  He can ride really slowly, too!

The Valkyrie's longer wheel base puts us at a disadvantage over the HD. It is 4" longer than a Road King.  I have one of the Ride Like a Pro CD's which I view before every riding season.

2things, donnie williams is probably the best there is as far as these little courses go. But his bike, being a roadking, was designed specifically for slow speed manuevering. The roadking has the tightest turning radius of any motorcycle, giving it the advantage with slow speed cornering. It was designed that way. Thats why he can do those things he can do.

I'd get lost half way through. And on the valk, there'd probably need to be a fuel/pee stop in the middle somewhere Smiley

Texas to N.C. by way of Ohio. That must be some of that new math the teacher was telling me about in school so many years ago. I still don't understand it.

I'm going to Pennsylvania to the PowWow, and instead of coming home and turning around and going to Inzane, I'll go visit some friends in PA, IL, and OH.  So actually, it's a shorter route than PA-TX-NC.

And RJ, Motor Maids convention always starts the Tuesday after the 4th of July.  And it's in Texas this year.

Hey firefighter! I'm planning on going, I have not figured my itinerary yet though. I'm thinking about just riding straight there on I20 to atlanta and I85 into Ashville. I can say with certainty that I don't plan on hitting any dirt roads  Evil

Usually a good contingent from the Republic are at Inzane.  I'd be watching the Texas board for more info as it gets closer.
