I toasted my Cooper Zeon 2XS in 7,400 miles it puts some doubt in me about the DynaBends. The Cooper Zeon 2XS I just took off was my 7th one I've bought and the worst mileage I've gotten with a DarkSide it was also the only one that I used DynaBeads in.Today I bought a Fuzion ZRI a high performance directional summer tire and I'm going to check it out . The Cooper had a 280 rating and the Fuzion has a 320 rating. Hope it sticks as good Photo below is the new Fuzion ZRi .

He normally gets 1,000,000 miles out of a darkside tire... and only got 7500 out of this one. Only one with dynabeads... Just a theory. I hope mine 1st darkside with dynabeads lasts longer. Joe would say I have chicken strips... I'd say it's because I ride in Indiana! Jabba

Has nothing to do with the dyna beads. I didn't get much out of mine either and mine was balanced the old way. Alot has to do with the roads. Here in Mississippi they eat tires up. I'm trying a Michelin Riken Raptor 205/55/16 and see how it hols up. David

Jabba Truth is the best I got out of the Cooper Zeon 2XS was 12,500 miles and the worst until this one was 10,400 miles . I've had ( 7 ) Cooper's on my bikes and if I don't like this new Fuzion ZRi I'll go back to the Cooper because I think you'd be hard pressed to find a tire that sticks better.

Joe, is that another 55 profile tire or is it a 60?

It's a 205/55 you can't get a high performance directional summer tire in a 60 can you ? If its out there I've not seen it and I refuse to run a tire that comes on Grand-ma's Buick on my bike.I had mixed feelings about the Fuzion ZRi with it being a 320 rated tire and my bike is still on the jack so I'll not know until tomorrow. ( Cooper Zeon 2XS is 280 rated ) . Picture below is the Fuzion ZRi A comprehensive tire design method that improves handling in wet or dry conditions and reduces irregular treadwear by combining the ideal tread design, casing shape, and materials. Features: Rounder overall tire shape provides better balance for wet or dry handling. Rim GuardTM - The raised rubber ridge acts like a bumper to help protect wheels from curb damage. Directional tread pattern design contributes to both wet and dry performance as well as enhancing other tire characteristics such as resistance to hydroplaning.

I haven’t been able to find one but I was sure hoping you had. My T tread is running out of rubber.

I looked at a lot of tires. There are three wholesale warehouses here in town and the let me browse through and look em over. I had read about the potenza and really like the looks. A big factor was the 60 profile. Hope ou like the new tread. bridgestone potenza g109 grid. 205-60-16. Has worked great for 6000 miles. Has a 460 tread compound and still looks new. Holds great in the corners and great wet wether tire. And the shoulders are slightly rounded. less than $110. with tax. $15 to mount on rim.

I looked at that tire but the harder compound steered me away. If I can get 10,000 or so miles out of one then I'm happy because at about that time I'm starting to wonder what my splines look like .The Fuzion ZRi cost me $ 99.00 out the door and $ 25.00 to mount . Folks that install those high milers should keep in mind that at between 11,000 - 12,000 miles the splines are screamin' for some lube ...IMO

I got barely 21,000 miles out of my first triple tread but I've got nearly 28,000 on this one. I think that cursed doc installed some kind of "governor" in my leg along with that steel plate.

Thanks Joe. I'm planning on pulling mine at the end of the summer. It will have about 10k on it by then. If I rode the twisties as much as you do I'd probably gone with something softer also. A lot of my riding is two up also, so longer tread life will help on that end as well.

Hey Joe, How did that new tire do this week end.
It worked great and we did us some twisties ...Hwy 209 ...Hwy 63 ... The Blue Ridge Parkway ... Hwy 441 across The Smoky's. Within 20 miles I was tearin' the chicken strips off it If it still performs like it did yesterday in 10,000 miles I'll be putting the Fuzion ZRi on all my bikes ( They all had Cooper Zeon 2XS ) . It seemed to ride much smoother than the Cooper and at around 30 mph with the Cooper I had aliitle bounce with the Fuzion she's sweet . The Cooper Zeon 2XS I just replaced had DynaBeads in it I'm claimin' bulls**t on those I think they are snake oil.The Cooper Zeon 2XS has been good to me I've had 7 of them on my bikes over the years if the Fuzion does better I'll start useing them if not I'll go back to the Cooper. As stated I think those DynaBeads did'nt do what they claim they will thats why my tire was toast in 7,400 miles.
