Covered 257 miles including the coast from High Island to Freeport. Nice weather for whole trip, including the didn't know where I was going section. Enjoyed it anyways. Suprising number of beach combers and Galveston visitors.
Sitting at the light @ 288 and FM 2004 a Black Interstate ridden by a fellow with a santa type beard (Not Earlybird), turned left  onto 2004 toward Santa Fe, about 1:30ish maybe. Who was that, very clean and nice.

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

The Crab Trap is a GREAT place to eat.    Got the most TENDER STEAK I have ever eaten.  Steaks are a little pricey but manooman they are good. Got a fish camp in Sargent and we eat there a lot.   They got a dock on Caney Creek so you can fish a while and come in and eat.  Got a cute young waitress there named Morgan that is the hardest working girl I think I've ever seen.    She is in there waitressing from sunup till close at night.   Don't think I've ever been there that she wasn't working.  Seems like a really nice young lady.    They serve good food there.  Houston Club should make a lunch run there sometime.
