Our Pres Dave is at Inzane, and he has found a limited number of DFW and Texas patches.
Dave has offered to buy patches for you and bring then home, your cost will be $10.00 each and Dave will waive
shipping and handling if you pick up your patches at an official Chapter meeting or ride.

There are 3 - VRCC DFW patches and 9 - VRCC Texas patches available immediately.

If you want one, please post or email me at f6godfire@yahoo.com.

Also Dave has been informed that more can be made, so even if these run out and you want one, now is the time to speak up!

Howdy to all from Frisco (CO),

Sorry to have been absent for so long.  First, I've been preoccupied, and second, my laptop blew up the first night in Tucumcari.  I'm logged onto the Holiday Inn's business center PC and have to make it short.

I got the patch inventory mixed up.  There are 8 small DFW and 4 small Texas patches.  When these are gone we can have more made, but the minimum production run is 24 for the small patches and 12 for the large patches.  So, let's get these gone and have more made.

BTW, all the existing patches are in my possession and will be back in Texas Monday afternoon!

Geezer, looks like the original quantity was wrong. I originally spoke for two TX patches but will give up one to ya. Since it definitely looks like there are going to be more made. Money goes to BONZO aka Dave in Frisco. He is supposed to be back Monday and ya can work it out then.

AS FOR THE 11 Inch VRCC patch for the back of your jacket or vest. I want to pre order TWO.

Not sure the TX patch comes in 11 in. Will have to wait for Bonzo to get back and see what we can get our hands on.

Hey Chris,
The few large patches that I've seen were Texas, not to say that DFW doesn't exist or isn't available.
Which would you want?

So far my count is

16 Small Texas patches @ $10.00 each
5 Small DFW patches @ $10.00 each

5 Large patches @ $35.00 each

The small patch is about 4" and the large is around 11".

I think an 11inch TEXAS patch would be incredibly cool. The only 11in patches I saw on any of OZ's sites was a Generic. VRCC patch.

Ya'll might want to know, that if ya plan to ride to Galveston with the big patch on the back with TEXAS on it...... be prepared to be stopped by the Banditos and have it removed at best.  The Texas on the back designates territory, and the MC clubs don't take kindly to that....We went through this several years ago.  Ya put the patch on the back with an area name.... you are playing in their arena.
Just a forewarning.....Actually... it's not just in Galveston... but the Banditos own the island and law enforcement will stand by and watch.
None for me... thanks

Mr. Glue knows what he's talking about here...

I know it's stupid, it makes no sense to me, but if ya' wanna play in the realm of "bikers" and M.C.'s, be prepared to play by their rules... I've still got my vest with the big Valhalla Six Guns colors on it, but I don't wear it (Even though IMHO it's one of the best looking patches ever made)... I decided it just wasn't worth killing or being killed over a patch... Yes, they take it that seriously...

Hey You"all , hot glue is right about the Bandits .... here in San Antonio they will look at yours and everybody's elses patch colors and wording just to make sure it does not say say  " Texas "  and your patch does not have the same colors as theirs .... I have heard that on the road that they will either take your vest off of you or take the patch off .... on my vest the rocker says " Alamo City " with red , white and blue colors .... so once you put the VRCC patch on your back with  Texas  it all business .... now I was told when a person wants to start up a club you have to go before the Bandito committee and basically ask for permission to do so and $ 300 to get the OK .... so to me this BS  politics really sucks and pisses me off , but thats the way it is in Texas and I live with it  ... and I really make it point to go the other way when I see these guys even tho I have met some of their chapter officers at bike nites  I  still watch my p's and q's on what I  what I say around them .... so be carefull .... don't ever call them  " frito banditos " like I did one dumb time .... lesson learned ... enuff said !

I know it doesn't sound fair..... but a large patch on the back with TEXAS on it will get ya some grief from the MC folks......
The large VRCC.... WITHOUT ...TEXAS..... should not be an issue, but they may take a look at ya to make sure you are not invading their turf.
The small patches with TEXAS... on the front of a vest would not be an issue.....as it will not be seen as 'COLORS'.
I just wanted to let ya know, if ya play in their sandbox, ya HAVE to follow their rules.

I've watched quite a few episodes of Gang Land on the History channel and I never considered a patch on my jacket as a threat.  I guess this shows how far out of touch I am with the "real bikers" and 1%ers.

So San Antonio and Galveston are bad for Texas patches; has anyone heard of any issues in DFW?  I attend a lot of rallies and have seen many chapter and state patches on many vests and jackets; has anyone heard of any bandito problems here?

I would still like to have the large TX patch for local riding and leave it behind if I head south as long as it is safe; I have no desire to have a confrontation with any "real bikers".  If DFW has these problems also I may go with the generic large VRCC patches instead.

Thanks for the warning HG; I'm still a bit shocked that our club patch could draw unwanted attention from a gang.

I am really suprised there are large patches with the state or town on them available through the VRCC.
Several years ago the VRCC had issues with the  turf patches and there was a decision then to only have the 'generic' patch to help keep folks out of a bind.
The Banditos and other clubs are nation wide.  All of them have the same issues with 'Colors'.
They are everywhere.....

I remember seeing a large DFW patch in the past, but I believe Hotglue is correct. The large patches are now all 'generic'.

Chuck, you have to remember in a Motorcycle Club, colors are earned over time, and not just anyone can wear them....that is one reason they are so protective of them, and yes there are some outlaw gangs in DFW.

Are there any intentions of ordering the 11" generic VRCC patches now instead of the TX version?  I am still game for two if they are going to be ordered.

Quote

I understand that GF, I am not wearing a bandito patch and trying to jump ahead; I just want to show my Valkyrie pride.  The VRCC is the first club I have been a member of that I have any desire to wear a patch so this gang stuff is new to me.

yes there are some outlaw gangs in DFW.

I have no doubt that they are here but do they cause us regular folk any misery was my question.  I see a lot of chapter and state patches at rally's but no one appears to be getting beat up over them.

Oh well!!!!  I'll edit my previous order to two large generic VRCC patches and two small DFW patches if it isn't to late.

Vermithrax,  some riding associations .... have made arrangements through the CoC, (Confederation of Clubs) controlled by the Banditos here in Texas to 'OK' patches being worn on the back with turf names. Ya pay yer Dues (money) get permission...attend the meetings.... and it is not an individual thing..... the WHOLE VRCC nation wide would have to agree.... But then again , thats take ya into a whole other realm of motorcycling......
Most folks really don't wanna go there. Some in the 'old' VSG got into all this and it really split the club.
The generic patch should be ok....lots of folks wear 'em with no issues.
Sorry about the rant... but it brings up bad memories

The trouble is, different people have different definitions of the word "respect".  For example, seeing a man who is minding his own business and harrassing/attacking him because of what he's wearing doesn't quite match my definition.

Baron , I totally agree about the respect but the door should swing both ways , but it seems irrating that there is so much politics involved in just riding , seeing and meeting new people and showing off our one of a kind Valk by wearing a patch ....  I don't bother anyone while riding or be disrespectful towards anyone regardless what group they belong to or what they ride  ....  and I too like showing off the group I belong to and ride with by means of a simple ol patch in which I feel we are unique in what we ride ... I aplogize if I came across very negative in my posting but I too have some unpleasant experiences all because of simple piece of cloth with different colors and and being proud of where you come from  ..... be that as it may , I'm still riding and enjoying my Fat Lady every where I go without any problems or trouble .....  I'm still ordering two 4 inch  Tx patches when they come in .....

What I mean about respect is as follows.  You can show your support for your club and nobody minds.  When you try and show that you are better than someone else or better than their club then you are creating a challange and being disrespectful so the door does swing both ways.

So far, I have never had anyone complain or attack me about what I wear but that is because I am respectful of where I am and what I am doing.  I just recently attended a meeting with dozens of MCs and when you say hello to someone they say hello right back, that is respect.

I say wear what you want to wear but keep away from making any challanges.

Here ya go!

http://www.f6rider.com/Store/patches.htm

Oops!  I didn't realize they were sold out when I posted the link.  I believe El Presidente was discussing getting everyone interested to pitch it for their share of a 10 pack of the big patches and however many of the small patches we need.

GF, is there any news from his majesty about the patch order?

Not yet Chuck,
I'm sure patches will be a major topic at the DFW monthly meeting (Thursday, August 13th).
So far it looks like we have unofficial demand for:
16 Small Texas Patches
5 Small DFW Patches
5 Large Generic Patches

We will need to take inventory of what el-presidente brings home and then do a push to get more orders so we can make the minimum order quantities.
More to follow,
