I want to put 4" risers on my Interstate. I had them on my previous Tourer with no problem, but will the cables and hoses work ok with Interstate without having extensions or rerouting done?

TIA

Yes, they will work, but not without rerouting done....I have 4 inch deuce style risers and have the original cables/hoses. But you'll have to move the throttle cables from the forward side of the triple tree to the side closest to you.  And mine are no longer behind the wire holders, but the setup works.
You need to make sure nothing binds when you turn the handlebars full motion lock to lock position and that your throttle returns in all situations.

At some point, I'm going to order 2 inch longer lines. But I've been running over a year with the risers and haven't had any issues with the stock cables as they are now.

Good morning Joe! I put Aeromach risers on my Std and nothing needed to be re routed. I suspect the cabling is the same as that found on your IS.

Deuce risers are 5.5", not 4".  (and do require rerouting of throttle cables)

A four inch riser should work with no alterations on any valkyrie..... and the throttle cables on the interstate exit the handlebar control housing higher (with a tad longer reach) than on the std/tourer models (which exit at the bottom).

Sorry, I don't have my bike handy and assumed Deuces were 4 inches. I apologize if I misled you.
