I was thinking about another ride in to the Lake Harris Hideaway in Tavares on Saturday the 8th. We had a ride there about a year or so that Doug posted up. Very motorcycle friendly place, good food and the deck right on Lake Harris. They are now also known as "Bert's Famous Wheelie Palace".  It's located at 11912 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Florida. Their web site is : http://www.lakeharrishideaway.net. This is up in Pappy's neck of the woods. They usually have live music on the weekends too. I was thinking around 1100 or so to meet up. Hopefully the weather gods wont crap on us again.

Weather "looks" good...so far..warm actually. After this last week, my faith in forecasts has been dashed. Not a long ride for us either John.

Last year's turn out at this place was great, very neat place on the water, cool band  and good food too. Doug did a great job putting all together, i remember there were few HD owners parked there and got uncomfortable when the fat girls filled the parking lot  Evil dont think they finished their meals. Hope to see everyone there again saturday

I would love to make it, but I don't think the wheels on my walker would stand the trip.  uglystupid2

Well, we can do the Home Depot parking lot at Lee Road and I-4, it's where I work actually too. It's one exit east of the Hess at Fairbanks and I-4. Our usual operation is to meet up, shoot the breeze for a few minutes and we let John lead us over..sound good?  Figure around 10am or so?

You could walk..but that would be silly. Starting to worry about the weather a little, but looks like mostly late afternoon stuff. Not very far for a lot of us, but that was the point, sort of.

According to Accuweather, we're looking at showers in the Winter Park and surrounding area off & on most of the day....starting around 9:00am. That said, plus company coming midday, I'll just pass. I'll spend part of the day splitting the case on the bum engine. If it's not in bad shape except for the one cylinder, I have a source for a replacement piston/rod assembly and necessary gaskets, bearings, etc.  This will be my first time splitting the case on a boxer engine, hope it's the last. Should be interesting....if not frustrating.  Cheesy

Yeah..wouldn't you freaking know it. First last Saturday, now this Saturday, and I don't get a lot of weekends off. I'm still praying for a miracle but it doesn't look very promising. Would y'all be interested in shooting for next Sunday?

Well, this stinks  Angry
I also had invited a couple, husband and wife, they both ride VTXs.
We will wait and see what it looks like in the morning.

Next Saturday, I had made plans to take my daughter to the ORANGE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW in Frostproof.

Next Sunday will also be good for me if I get the day off from work  cooldude

 Sounds good Billy.
How's 8:00 @ the Mobile Station corner of Ulmerton and 49th Street? Tell him to clean that ST, I may want to buy it from him Grin I will have my cell with me today and will actually answer it if you need to reach me. Has he ever been to Sleepy Hollow?
