GOOD FIND!!!

And it has the same "hardness" rating as the Ziex 512 in 205/65/16 size.  420AA

Wow only $62.00 and it's available in...205x60x16 cooldude
I would try that when I need a tire...I was going to try the Vredestein Sportrack 3 but for 1/3 the price in a 60 series it's a no brainer. Now I must get busy and wear out my Avon-200.

Yea, I like the taller tire for some reason.  It isn't much different on the highway, but the rpms are a little lower.
I like how the bike is raised up a little bit.  Keeps the hard parts from draggin'.

My Falken Ziex will need changing before my Trip East this summer. At almost 30K miles I am very happy with this tire, and was upset the Falken was discontinued. I like the feel, and it runs 3K RPM at 70 MPH.
I just ordered this tire.

Went out for a quick ride this afternoon on the new tire. The Vredestein Sportrack 3 really suprised me. It handles like a MC tire. Quick countersteering at speed, very light countersteer needed in a corner, and parking lot speed handling was really easy. The last tire wich was a GYTT handles like crap compared to the Sportrack 3.

Any noise with the Vredestein? I have been running a Michelin Hydroedge for the last 45k, and it still has lots of tread left. Although a bit square it is comfortable and dead quiet.

I didn't hear anything while riding, but when I pulled in the clutch to coast down I could hear the tread (I believe someone else mentioned this also). It didn't strike me as anything that would be annoying. I'll ride it again tomorrow and pay alittle more attention to it.

Thanks for the update. I have spoke with several others that are running that tire. All positive comments. (but pricey)

I have the Sportrac 3 and gladly paid 2/3 more for the better handling characteristics. @ $150 it's still less expensive than a cheap MC tire.

It is a direct replacement for the  Falken Ziex 512. I've got 2200 miles on mine and I am very happy with the performance. Sooo much smoother and quieter than the E3 I had. I'll never go back to a MC tire. I put on the 205/60-16 and really like the added height (1/2 inch) and slightly lower RPM's. The tire instills more confidence for me; I now find myself touching the pegs on corners that I never did in the past. Wet weather traction is amazing so I don't mind the rain near as much now.

Hope that helps,
Randy

EEEEK, the Falkin is getting horrible reviews. One said tread separation. Careful boys... There may be a very good reason it's only sixty bucks.

No flaming death here.  On my second one and putting on a 3rd in May.  The first one I got 17,600 miles out of and still had more to go.  Was going to Inzane and would have needed a tire while out on the road.

Just keep an eye on your tires, no matter what tires you ride on, MC or CT.

Technically you can Double Darkside. Some people are putting a Car Tire on the back, and then putting a Rear Motorcycle Tire, backwards on the front.

I would deem this the "Advanced" level of darksiding, and would suggest just starting with a Car Tire on the back.

ps - "shhhhh" the Vredestein is better. but don't tell anyone I said that.  Lips Sealed

They "might" be better, but I will have to wait a good while before I will know...   I have 3 Falkens in the wings waiting to me mounted.  I got worried when they discontinued them and bought all that Discount Tire had in Texas at the time.  Smiley

The Vredestein Sportrack 3 is a great handling tire to the point that I feel like I'm riding a MC tire...
