I'm either driving a Valkyrie or an Airbus... it just depends on the day of the week.

Yeah, I don't think it applies to the Valkyrie.

Seems to need something to fasten it to that is on the Goldwing but not on the Valkyrie.

I'm with Daniel for what  that costs you can buy a lot of shifter seals and I've only read of a handful of leaky seals and those were high mileage bikes.

Seems pretty cool to me, especially with forward controls, I've always thought
that shift lever shaft sticking out like that was a lot of leverage...

Of course, the not-fitting part kinda counts it out...

Read about it about a month or two ago on goldwingdocs.com, I believe the creator was from that forum also. He designed this for the GW GL1500, not the Valkyrie, for excessive flexing of the shifting stem that causes the oil seal to fail.

I think I recall someone asking if it would fit the Valkyrie, which was maybe yes. But no one there knew if the Valkyrie had the same problem. I don't think so. But I no longer have my Valkyrie to look at to see if there is an issue. I know from here, that the Valk oil seal leaking is not a very common leak, but it is an easy fix.

I emailed the maker of those about a month or so ago and ask him if they'd work on a Valk and he said he had no idea, and I didn't think it was important enough to pursue any further.
